I am not commenting on whether or not I agree with your points. However, I do have to ask what it is that makes you better qualified to know what, how and whom to play than AP? I have been watching football for donkeys years, and although I find some decisions by managers baffling, this is usually because I and all the other know-it-all punters in the stand are not managers/coaches of a professional football team. We are not qualifed to judge IMHO. I don't doubt they make mistakes, but I would hazard a guess that if you were privvy to their reasoning when they make a decision you would probably be inclined to agree with it. Isn't it our own ignorance and frustration that causes the "you don't know what you're doing" chants at the bench? Now you are going to tell me you are indeed a professional and make me wish I'd kept quiet aren't you? :-)

I have to say, given what we have been through lately, the thought of spending such sums on one player mades me feel extremely nauseous even if we were to be in the PM backed by a billionaire. Seems obscene doesn't it? On the flip side, spending £1m on a player in L1 could appear obscene to many other clubs so perhaps I am being a hypocrite.
