Personally I want the current manager to stay for at least 3 years (i.e. duration of contract), even if the results continue to be below par. We need to give someone a chance to turn things around, and recent history shows us that constantly changing the manager does not help. Even if we get relegated because of the 10 point deduction we should stick with him - we have the financial clout to bottom out soon surely?

Any news for the people who blame these late goals on fitness? Is there any evidence of that or something else amiss (like an inability to take chances, crap referee, etc etc - the usual suspects)?

If you haven't read the thread then your comments will be out of context won't they? Nobody suggested it was "bad luck", so nobody needs their head checked thanks.

They are getting upset because pancake suggested that all Americans are fat.

I wasn't there, but there was no indication from the commentary that they looked "too tired" at the end of the game. Maybe somebody who actually went can say whether they were unable to keep the ball at the end due to fitness. Personally I think that it is more likely to do with being unable to score the goals needed to be comfortable. The ref denied a defo penalty too. Worst referee he had ever seen according to AP (but I bet he has said that a few times).

WGS was also lucky enough to have much better players at his disposal. We lost late goals when he was in charge plenty of times - Boro away springs to mind straight for one. Rose coloured glasses perhaps?

So they managed to hump the ball in our area - what has that got to do with fitness. You are like a dog with a bone. We lost 3 points because we couldn't kill the game off with the chances we missed. Just because I don't buy your "lack of fitness" obsession doesn't make me blind - and unlike you I am lucky enough to witness the games first hand - so I can see for myself thanks.

How are you going to tell if the atmosphere is to your liking (or not, as the case may be) unless you come? Perhaps you should just try a different part of the ground......or perhaps you'd like to wait until the opposition are of a higher calibre....

Aren't you being a tad over-sensitive. Surely Pancake's remark was a flippant reference to the fact that the US used to come out top in most of the "average population obesity" studies. Maybe he is just out of date rather than a bigot or crazy ;-) It is not much different to Americans thinking that all British folk have bad teeth.
