Well put. I listened to RKs interview live yesterday and again today just to see what I missed. Something must be generating some of this negativity after all.......but there really was nothing to get worked up about - unless you happen to dislike the accent or N.American/Canadian sports terminology he uses. Let's just see how he pans out (with the rest of the board) by the time the start of the season is upon us.

I wouldn't have been able to - for the reasons I have already stated. I think I will reserve judgement on RK until he has been in the job a while.

I've been to a one or two, and if you did manage to speak to 20+ SFC employees over the course of the evening it certainly wouldn't be for long enough to make an informed judgement of their abilities as a (for example) chairman. St Chalet confirmed as much subsequently. That aside, it conjures up an image of a star-struck autograph hunter flitting from celeb to celeb. They aren't going to give you much more than a few trivial sound bite answers to inane repetitive questions being thrown at them left, right and centre.

It's not nit picking is it? You posted your message because you had a valid point to make, or opinion to share, based on your conversation with RK. This being so, why throw the credibility of your post into doubt by backing it up with a statement that highly improbable? Read my response again - I said I thought your assessment was harsh and the reason you gave for reaching that opinion lacked credibility. Questioning you does not constitute a put-down does it?

Gotta say, for a mod, that is quite a hilarious post. Not only have you clearly got the hump because I had the temerity to point out the dubious nature of your "I spoke to 20+ people at the awards dinner" claim, but you are also saying that by doing so you are ITK!

I heard the interview and that statement was not in answer to any question about Lallana.

Game was a bit of a non-event, but good to see Egil Ostenstad in Block 10.

Good first time finish into the top corner also. Doubt it will make any difference to his future though.

Even if all this were true (not saying it is or isn't) I still do not understand what there is to gain by planting stories in the press - stories that would be there anyway. I am sure that if he were of a mind to conduct some sort of "House of cards" vendetta against those that own the club he would come up with something a tad more effective than that.

Surely these stories would be all over the media with or without any alleged input from past employees. It goes with the territory. I am probably being naive, but I can't understand why anyone (Cortese or his PR company) would be bothered to do this. At the end of the day it makes bugger all difference to anyone.
