Most of the vitriol came from the red tops and their laughable articles yesterday. Personally I have no animosity towards KL. The situation between the two clearly became unworkable and the owner must surely always carry more clout than the employee.

Ha won't be resigning - certainly not at this juncture. He has loyalties to his own coaching staff for one thing - is he going to drop them in it or worse, put them out of a job? I agree with the posters who think he will deflect any questions about his own future. However, IF he intimates that he has no intention of resigning it may indicate that he knows something about NCs plans that nobody else does. I would like to think he has loyalties to the club and players also, but his comments last time Cortese threatened to quit make me doubt that - the only big negative about his tenure so far.

Personally I don't think Shaw will leave - certainly not in this window anyway. Don't think any key players will leave FWIW. Most sensible people will assess the situation in the Summer.

Have you developed a stutter? It was the poor replacements that screwed the results, which led to relegation which screwed the finances. The manager hasn't left yet - and if he gives the impression today that he does not intend to, he probably knows something about NCs plans that we don't.

That sounds like drama queen speculation by the author. How can contracted players "walk away"?? Are they going on strike or something?

That contradicts all the reports stating that it is nothing to do with that, but more to do with KL's desire to sell sooner rather than later.

I don't expect any players to leave as a result of this latest event. Those that were going anyway will do, but it won't be the likes of Lallana or Schneiderlin. Some thought the players would be hacked off when Adkins went but that didn't appear to happen. They are used to this sort of thing (especially at Saints) so I fully expect them to get on with the business of winning football matches - not pining after a departed chairman. Even if Pochettino leaves I still expect them to get on with the thing they are paid to do without any fuss.

Yes I cannot believe that Pochettino did not know about this before today - especially if, as alledged, Cortese resigned three months ago.

Thanks - so that's it?? From the posts I have read I thought he'd come out and said something like "please come and buy my son" or something. Lots of people are disappointed, but we need to let the dust settle and see what happens.
