I think you may be confusing a joke with seriousness

Basically, scientists meet every now and again and examine factors relating to the end of the world. If say, in a year, Iran creates masses of nuclear missiles and creates an alliance with North Korea, and the polar ice caps melt, then the scientists will probably move the minute hand closer to midnight - midnight being the end. They move the minute hand as an indicator as to how well we are all doing in avoiding a nuclear holocaust/ an environmental disaster. It was created in the 40's by those scientists who were in the Manhattan project - developing atomic weapons, as they decided that what they had created could destroy everything and they should try and avoid it. Basically.

Blimey, I did Late History at A-Level, studied the Cold War and that, but I didn't really think about, or realise, the implications on the general public, people like you lot. Must have been frightening to say the least, nowadays we have all these moral panics (swine flu, terrorism, feral youth roaming the streets with knives and guns) but they don't really compare to the fact two nations had the potential to destroy civilisation at any moment. At the moment I'm using the FAL bling with holographic sight and the grenade launcher. It's a good gun but single fire, so you have to tap R1 to fire rapidly instead of holding it down.

Personally I think we should be playing for now. Jackson may not be a Premier League quality player, but the fact of the matter is we are not in the Premier League, we are in League One, and by most accounts Jackson is a proven L1 player. If we do get to the Prem in 5/6 years or whatever, then I've no doubt that we would not hesitate in spending 7 or 8 million on a proven PL or European striker. Jackson could do a job in getting us out of this league, and perhaps in the CCC.

Coleman is NOT happy. According to him we are 'childish and disrespectful' and have acted poorly, with the stalling of the deal entirely our fault. Hmm.

A couple of my mates from college went to school with a lad who played for both Southampton and Portsmouth youth teams but didn't manage to progress with either. He now is in the West Ham squad at only 19 years old, and has made a couple of appearances in the Prem. He was at loan at Colchester last year as well. I consider myself a decent footballer (albeit lacking fitness) but if I was to ever come up against this lad (who is only a year older than me) then I'd have no doubt that he wouldn't just be a class above, he'd be about 100 classes above.

So where have all these Archers song writer/singers gone? And let's not just use the Rickie Lambert song with amended words for different players, that's gash.
