  1. Ahhh cheers, good old Wikipedia... If it wasn't for Wikipedia I doubt I'd have got my A-Levels
  2. Would that be the same then for the Berlin crisis in 1961? It's not on the same scale as Cuba, but it is still important and a low point in relations which could have turned ugly at the confrontation at Checkpoint C. It's no surprise the graph dips during the period of peaceful coexistence, but surely the Cuban crisis and Berlin crisis have to count for something in the Doomsday clock, regardless of whether it was resolved in a short time or not.
  3. Yeah that's surprising, the Cuban missile crisis should have put the clock forward a fair bit, but according to the graph it seemingly did sod all, which is very odd.
  4. The Doomsday Clock has been moved back a minute, and it now reads six minutes to midnight. Hurrah! (Midnight being the end of the world of course). http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8460324.stm We have been closest to catastrophe, according to scientists, in 1953 when the clock 'read' 2 minutes to midnight when USSR and USA tested Nuclear weapons. Wonder how the clock will change over the next decade? Interesting stuff.
  5. That's incredibly harsh if true.
  6. Quality Where are you thinking of going?
  7. I went to Magaluf. I'd recommend it. There's a lovely beach, it's not overly hot, and there's other things you can do other than lounging around by the pool, such as: drinking, visiting strip clubs, drinking, passing out, buying alcohol, and drinking. HTH.
  8. It's actually 21:56 by my clock.
  9. Aha! Key found. Cheers StL.
  10. Yep just saw the triangle number, cheers for that StL... I'll find that compass thing, and have a look, thanks.
  11. Just used the wooden man's head to open the draw and got the box inside. Stumped again
  12. Basically, I've got 7 items, and I just don't know what to do next! There are a load of locked cupboards and boxes, and I have no idea how to get into them. I found two numbers, 72 and 50 on the wall/in the bin, and have a bit of paper with 'newsense' on it.
  13. I'm completely stumped. Can someone please help
  14. There was a statement on twitter BEFORE the Otsemobor signing saying we'd have another player before Friday midday. Whether or not they meant Otsemobor I don't know.
  15. What,,, the,,, f*ck :smt023
  16. I'm no good at skiing, but I slipped and skidded on ice earlier, it's basically the same thing.
  17. Ah yes, I've re-read properly instead of skimming through it. I deserve a slap on the wrist for that one. Since that's the case, it's good Pardew got who he wanted. No mention of Ward, and so it's obvious he holds Seaborne in a higher regard; and it's also good the scouts have been watching him since the start of the season...
  18. Could well have been yeah - it adds up. I hope you're right, we definitely need a few more attacking options.
  19. Fonte isn't cup tied for JPT.
  20. Sorry if this has already been posted. Pardew happy with getting his top targets. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1932798,00.html Saying he has got his main targets, does this now rule out further transfer activity? EDIT: No, it doesn't
  21. I'm sure he'd love that.
  22. 'Arry's going down with dirty money in the bank, dirty money in the bank, dirty money in the bank.
  23. Yep, that's me in the middle sitting down. Ron, how did you get hold of this?!
  24. Most pubs only have Strongbow or Bulmers/Magners. Had a pint of Old English Cider or something up at Leeds which was nice. However, in Bedford's Strongbow is only £1.99 a pint and I can't complain at that!
  25. I'll drink any booze to be honest, depends what mood I'm in.
