Outside the Hole in the Wall?
-
Sort of like how, in the 30's or whatever, cigarettes were promoted as healthy, doctors said they would help clear your lungs!
-
My mate used to make that stuff before he went to Uni, brewed just down the road from here. Very nice pint indeed, very enjoyable after playing cricket in the summer. Good times.

Spot on. Had more trouble at Brentford than at Millwall!

Is it going to be open?

Well, you could have been a 17 year old who was desperately trying to look old enough by wearing a suit and buying red wine But yeah, as an 18 year old I can pretty much tell whether someone is older than me or not, and yes, 25 is quite a big gap... 7 years... I wouldn't have ID'd you unless you were SERIOUSLY baby faced or something.
-
The person got it wrong, you don't need to be 25 to buy alcohol, it's just if you look under 25 in the eyes of the till person then you may be asked to have ID. It's countrywide policy, and yes it is stupid if you ask me. However, I work on the till if I have to, if I was to sell alcohol to an under 18 and the old bill found out (they send in under 18s to try and buy alcohol to catch us out) then I could get fined up to £5000, go to court, my manager could get fined and the store could lose it's license. I'm not a jobsworth, trust me, but I don't fancy a hefty fine and a criminal record. I ID'd someone who was about 24 the other day, she looked about 16. She had ID and we had a laugh about it.

Most of these supposed fans who are supposedly travelling down would be the ones who have banning orders, and see no point having a ruck with Exeter's mob It won't happen, Pompey and Millwall have history anyway, and I agree with JackanorySFC: When I went to the Den their most aggressive fans I could see in the ground were aged from about 8-18. One had a Hackett polo as well If it DID happen, which, let's face it, it's not, then I wouldn't be surprised to see it kick off between Pompey and Millwall! After all, the rumour mill was in full swing after the first game of the season, and if you believe everything you hear, a lot of Millwall went 17 miles down the road later that day and stormed a pub, putting some Pompey 'top boys' in hospital.
-
It's stopped here for the time being, but I tell ye, there's snow in them there clouds.
-
Wow, Southampton gaining a bit of notoriety and a bit of a reputation? It takes Millwall AND Pompey, who were both feared and respected as mobs in their time to gang up on US?! Pathetic!

There is a town in Brazil called Candido Godol. The town is famous because it has so many twins, about 1 in 10 births result in twins. This is about 1000 times higher than the global average. The notorious Nazi scientist, Josef Mengele I think it is, is known to have fled to South America after the War, and some people have come up with a theory that he continued to experiment, although this time on the Brazilian women of the town. The hike in the rate in twins supposedly coincided with Mengele's arrival in the town, which had a lot of people of original German descent living there. To make things a little more weird, a lot of the twins have blond hair and blue eyes, not something you often associate with South America.

Another conspiracy is that Nazi developed rockets that could take people to the moon (after all, a lot of Nazi scientists went to work for NASA after the war) and in fact, there is a Nazi base on the moon in which many top Nazi officials fled to. Ooooooer.

Wouldn't be a bad shout, considering Hitler admired our nation and our history - of course, Winchester being the historical capital.
-
Why was Winchester a no bomb zone?
-
I had one at the Dell, it was brilliant.
-
Interesting point, never thought about that.. Had the Germans bombed it the blast radius would have been massive - And I wouldn't be here today. Blimey...
