  3. One of the best games I've seen in a while - good quality footy all round. Keep the faith COYS.
  4. You can see quite clearly the problem there. Davis glued to his line - again. He could quite easily have come for that - so frustrating as he is an excellent keeper otherwise.
  5. I like that, a reply that rhymes. While your here, I'm thinking of driving over tomorrow night to watch the Rochdale game (I'm working in Southall). What is there in the way of parking near the ground?
  6. The Undertones - 30+ years on, just as fresh as ever. Marvellous.
  7. Jimmy Bullard; Jimmy Bullard ooooh.

  11. Visibility poor, but a single eye blinks at me in the murky distance and beckons me towards it. How can I resist?
  12. Reached the bottom. You can forget all that ****** about the Titanic breaking in two.
  13. I'm going deeper.
  14. Have encountered the 'Coffee Folk' . They are regailing me with 'Tales of the Bean'. The bourbon remains are nowhere to be seen. Intriguing. Mission Control tells me some shameless ex-pat self publicist has tried to infiltrate the thread. sort him out someone please.
  15. Just had a bourbon biscuit break in twain whilst dunking into my damn fine coffee (FA CUP Winners 1976 autographed mug). I'm suited up and I'm going in after it.
  16. The law of averages is firmly on our side!
  17. After a long think, this is my favourite moment too. That save (and the one from the same player about 30 seconds earlier, both in injury time) meant so much in terms of getting us going last season. By that time I was in agony having had a wisdom tooth removed a few days earlier which had become infected. I was pumped full of pain killers but they weren't working. The euphoria of that moment when the match ended did the job and the endorphin release kept me going until I was walking back throught the park and nearly flaked. After spitting a sh*t load of blood and puss into a waste basket I got the tram back to the station and home.
  18. Dean still watching the Telly in the loo then. Twitter: 'Lovely day at beautiful wedding.... Even came accross the sky lanterns above the M3 on way home! Poor hubby still sickly patient in bed :-/' @HammondRachel
  19. 14.30 from Liverpool Street. I always like to have a bit of an explore before matches and I've not been to Ipswich v Saints since the 1970s.
  20. Sorted by train, tube and a long(ish) walk now, but thanks for the offers.
  21. Watched Cloverfield last night after meaning to for ages based on the trailer. A bit like Blair Witch in that it is based on the footage found on a video camera after the event. The special effects and hand held camera techniques were excellent and I liked the fact that you never find out exactly what the monster is or where it's from or, indeed, how it all eventually pans out, you just drop into the story and out again 2 hours later. What did p*ss me off though was the voice track which consisted entirely of 'Oh My God, Oh My God, Oh My God, Oh my God' and 'What's happening, did you see that?' ad nauseum throughout the film. This made me come down firmly on the monster's side and I punched the air when the narrator got eaten Result: Monster 1 American gob****e 0
  22. Anyone going to this evening game on Tuesday 16th August from London (or passing through) and looking to share a car? I'm working in Southall/Heston area and am intending to go.
