  1. Thanks, I would rather be an inconsiderate buffoon than a weirdo.
  2. Weirdo.
  3. Unfortunately for you Socialists only the saddos like you and me will be watching tonight and in the main televised debates - Brown v Cameron v the Liberal bloke who's name escapes me - Brown will come accross badly.
  4. This is ******** (no offence). They made mugs out of Illingsworth and co and Illingsworth and co made mugs out of the those who they charged £10. If we hadn't booked this place up I doubt Carlise would've committed to paying x amount for the venue. It would have been given over, yes given over FOR FREE, and the club would've made money from drinks just like everywhere else did. Perhaps they'd have been no DJ, but by all accounts he was clueless anyway so he probably only cost about £200. If you're going to organise something like this (and you're holding all the Aces as Illingsworth was) then it stands to reason you'd play hardball and get a decent deal, but maybe they did and the majority £10 everyone coughed went straight into the back pockets of the organisers.
  5. All the real fans were still in London.
  6. Should be an interesting warm up for the main leaders debates that will be taking place soon. I think matey with the white hair and black eyebrows will come out of it better as he's good on TV, wheras George Osbourne comes accross as a bit of a pr1ck. Vince Cable will also be there and he talks some sense, but because he's a Liberal he's irrelevent.
  7. You normally find something to moan about without seeing or listening to a game so just pretend you've seen them and tell us all how crap they were.
  8. Yeah that was brilliant.
  9. There's a difference between making a few quid out of something that most people couldn't be arsed with doing and organising an event with the prime motivation being to make a profit. Stu's bus versus Silverspoons illustrates this point perfectly. Personally I wouldn't want the hassle for the sake of a hundred quid or so.

    Mexican Wave

I thought it was a good laugh, especially booing the empty seats when they didn't join in.
  11. Was in block 530 and never heard it.
  12. I didn't realise Illingsworth had organised this event - if i had known before hand i'd have warned everyone it was going to be w4nk.
  13. I say lock dulldays thread and keep this one.

Did anyone else see the Saints Flag in the corporate seated area smack bang in the middle of the Carlise fans? I bet that ****ed them off.
  15. I notice Duncan gets another mention in todays Mail.
  16. "we're all going to silverspoons"
  17. Next time choose a pub without a ****ing hill. On a serious note it was a good venue, well organised etc. Was feeling a bit ropey after the night before but a few double vodkas soon did the trick.
  18. Are sure it wasn't booing the empty seats for not joining in the mexican wave?
  19. rubbish.
  20. Just got back, what a brilliant weekend. Great night out on Saturday followed by great day yesterday.
  21. no it didn't you fool.
  22. Did Alpine say something interesting?
  23. LOL at Alpine and Delldays (i.e fans that never go) not knowing what the **** they're on about - as usual.
