True and the same criticism is made of Yaya Toure very often, but there is a difference between expecting a CM to be more defensively minded and actually setting up with two DMs who both have the primary role of being a shield for the back 4.
-
Its an interesting point - should we need two DM shields? Most teams should be able to survive with one good DM and one more forward looking CM?
-
Agreed. There are fair questions to ask about our recruitment strategy this summer, no need to close off discussion by shouting "FFP" or "No Blank cheque books".
-
But my point is this "system" is wrong. Also, having priority for future games is vague, having ten aways and a ticket for Vitesse away would give you priority over someone that just has ten aways, but someone that went to every away game last season could consider they should have priority over someone that just did 6 aways and Vitesse.
-
In terms of tiredness/resting players, I hope a lesson was learnt from the Vitesse game, by all means take it seriously, but if 3-0 up from the first leg, that's really an opportunity to rest key players in the 2nd leg.
-
He's not suggesting a blank cheque book approach though. It's not an argument I necessarily agree with, but the question of our replacements being cheap options is a fair one. It's a fine line for the club to walk and get quite right.

No one has said any of that didn't happen. Bit of a waste of a post.
-
Who has said Everton didn't play well? If you think that constitutes an excellent display, you've got a very basic view of football.
-
I think you're p**sed :toppa:

What does Juanmi have to do to get a decent run?
-
In what way did you think Everton were excellent ? They did a good job and were massively efficient, no more than that I thought.

CONFIRMED - Oriol Romeu joins on 3-Year Deal

I thought he looked good today Would have been a different game if he played the full 90 -
Agreed. He's been good.
-
Similar to last week. Not even good opposition. That's what you get from no Clyne, Bertrand, Schneiderlin and Alderweireld.
-
I think Man Utd are going to be like this all year, dull, grinding out 1-0 wins. Still miles off being a great team.

Why would anyone ITK tell the TalkSaints bloke anything?

Don't Stoke do quite well from being sponsored by their owners?

We have a number of players that are nailed on starters and a number of players that are clearly back-up. Keeper, Fonte, Wanyama, Mane, Pellè start every game as first choice. -
Would be a weird move all round. Really can't see this happening.
-
You've told us on numerous occasions how 'gash' Pellè is though.
-
I'd agree, that was an important point for me, our performance wasn't great, but we showed real character, fight and spirit to keep going, really good to see.
-
I'd have started him ahead of JRod today. Would have meant we'd kept the ball for more than 30 secs in the first half.
