What does that even mean?
-
I'm not even sure if he's ever been a target for us.

Can't think of too many major incidents on the walkway over the years, police are probably happy with the status quo. Ultimately, is it council property/highways or whatever that we're talking about here? Who's responsibility should it be?
-
Yeah, there was one there when St Marys opened, but was closed pretty much straight away, not sure why. Just playing Devil's Advocate here, maybe the police and club like having the number of routes in and out of the ground and surrounding area limited, gives them only a few areas to focus their resources on.
-
Was the club not recruiting for a "Supporter Liaison Officer" or something like that? This is the sort of issue they could be looking at.
-
Yeah, that's what I thought, just not as easy as widening the walkwaky on its own. My personal preference would be a new, addiitional walkway over the railway line at the Chapel/Kingsland end.
-
I agree, but the only option is to just close the North Car Park every game? Maybe look at building another footbridge over the railway, around the Chapel/Kingsland corner - that'd cost the club a few quid though. I can't really see how the bridge itself can be widened. Also, my own moan, can the inside artwork not be repainted? It looks a right state now. And connected to that, make the bridge at least covered, so the artwork isn't left open to the elements, the bridge doesn't get full of puddles.

"Win, and everything all rosy again" . Yeah God forbid we lose away to Man United

If we lose against Ipswich. If we do go out of the cup, both Feb and March are pretty light fixtures wise as well. -
What times are you looking at? if you get the 16.02 or earlier up its £26.25, return on any train.
-
What times you looking at? Can get the 16.02 up and the 22.43 back for £22. It's only about £40 return if you get an open return anyway I think. And about £30 if you use your Network Card for a return to Manningtree, then a separate reurn from there to Ipswich, but I think you can only use your Network Card on off-peak services, so depends how limited you are in that regard, but there is plenty of scope for cheap services, especially considering how cheap the match tickets are.

But the Itchen North would decamp directly to blocks 44, 45 and 46, so not too much would change apart from a slight angle of viewing the game. The Northam and Itchen North aren't any different anyway, I'm not sure what you think you'd have to put up with from the Northam that you don't get in the Itchen. Half the time you get the Itchen North singing one thing, whilst the Northam sings another, it's disjointed. Teams with big, good away followings that fill their allocation are able to make good noise, end up singing over both the Itchen North and the Northam.
-
Good point to be honest, having the home fans ticket office sandwiched between the two away turnstiles might not be seen as ideal by the powers that be!
-
Whilst I think he'd be a decent option for us to have from a purely footballing point of view, I'd rather he stayed in the past now and I really don't think the club would take him as a temporary option.
-
5 boxes is still a fair bit of the overall allocation. And it still leaves problems with segregation within corporate sections. I can imagine the current inhabitants of block 5 kicking off having 3k Man Utd or Spurs fans stuck next to their nice seats! You're right re Itchen North access onto Brittania Road. Although having two different entrances/exits for away fans will increase police/steward resources a little bit.

I'm sure they will fly, doesn't stop it being a week full of travelling when you throw Ipswich away in the middle. -
Koeman has pretty much said we're going for a forward. Undoubtedly, we need another option for Pelle, he needs a rest and we're so reliant on him. Will be interesting to see who we go for and in what sort of price bracket.
-
Has he been playing for them this season? Injured?

I'd expect us to adjust our squad accordinngly if we made Europe. And it'd still be very rare to have two of the longest away trips of the year, with an away trip midweek in between. And we'd still find it a right effort and struggle across the three games. -
Cheers. Bloody ridiculous if true, one of those things I guess, but just when the lad is hitting form makes it even more frustrating.

How exactly can you do Manchester, Ipswich and Newcastle in 7 days with "not too much travelling"?
