I travelled back from Burnley I think a couple of year back and the AFC Wimbledon team were travelling back from their away game in standard class, so we have a fair way to drop still.

I was sad enough to check on the West Ham ticketing website and they are selling the "extra allocation" blocks to their own fans.

It is definitely a rip off, but I am surprised we haven't shifted 1.8k tickets for a 3pm London away. Works out as £44 for a Dad and his son which isn't bad I guess.

To be fair, the backwoods of Iowa are a hard market to crack, we do need all the help we can get there.

Still tickets on sale accordng to the club twitter and ticket sales available on the day, suggests there is qute a bit of availability still.
