Completely agree with all that. Can also add to the list all those getting their phones out and taking videos of Liverpool doing the whole 'You'll never walk alone' thing just before kick off, pointless.

I'd still question how focused he'll be, but if we can harness Wanyama and Schneiderlin as a midfield set-up, that is top-draw Premier League standard.

He seemed to take it all in his stride and had a good game, didn't acknowledge our support, but it is only a small corner of a fairly big ground. Might be a bit more interesting come the home game against them.

Why? The enthusiastic round of applause when warming up should have been enough, it is far more than most ex-players get and should have shown how highly he's regarded without going on throughout the game, while he's trying to score a goal against us and leave us without what would have been a very much deserved point.
