  1. Very well said.
  2. Ok, let me put it another way to stop us going around in circles, the average man in the street doesn't care about any of the things you've listed, they are of little interest or benefit.
  3. The percentage of trade is irrelevant, it is the total volume of overall trade that is important to the country. I have more faith in local politicians that are at least in some small way accountable than faceless individuals stuck in Brussels or elsewhere. Every day regulations would have been brought in my most modern governments, are you suggesting that EU nations are particularly unique in any of these "benefits"? So, I'll ask again, how has the life of the every day man in the street been improved by our membership of the EU?
  4. So we had no trade with Europe before the start of the EU? Most of the other policies you list would have came in anyway, none were particularly innovative or progressive that couldn't have been implemented by a regular domestic government. The only unique, beneficial thing provided by our EU membership is it makes it a bit easier to move, travel, work around Europe, but it was never exactly hard prior to EU regs changing things. So overall, how is the average man in the street in this country better off as a result of EU membership?
  5. That's always been his stance on things whenever I've seen him interviewed. He's a hard one to judge. Done a lot of work in youth development, didn't do too badly being thrown in the deep end at Spurs this season, but does need to learn about managing pressure and public perception a bit if he's going to be a successful PL manager, maybe that will come with time a little bit and in an environment where he does not feel like he's on a high profile, short-term trial.
  6. I'm starting to get the feeling that this has dragged on too long, there have been too many media articles, too many signs that MP is open to offers elsewhere for him to go on with our long-term plans; just can't picture him being our manager next season now.
  7. Had a quick look and couldn't find anything, can you repost?
  8. So nothing that actually has a positive impact on the majority of every day people of this country.
  9. So the best examples you can come up with are an ambiguous, distant point regarding US Capital Punishment and save a couple of quid on a holiday phone bill.
  10. Why do you want a strong pro-european voice?
  11. Cracking day of football all told, two good games, real battles. Why do they keep showing shots of annoying looking fans throughout this final?
  12. I'm not sure how true the "£6m a year offer" is, but at what point would you consider it to much to be paying him? There is a limit to everything, even in modern football, and I'd say anything over £100k a week has definitely passed the sensible point.
  13. You banned Glasgow Saint for that? It's a view held by plenty of Saints fans. Can see Guly going on and doing a job for a Championship team, someone like Charlton he could do a job for, always think there's been a bit too much fuss each way over Guly, decent contribution for us, slowly faded out of the team.
  14. What exactly do you want the club to state? There is nothing to put out a statement on!
  15. Stalkers.
  16. If we had Suarez or Aguero we'd be doing better? Thanks for that
  17. You're missing the point - we were able to do all that because we had more money than others.
  18. Yeah, around us. Hold on, you're saying that Fonte said he was attracted by ambition and not money, I bet a player has never thought of that line before
  19. What reports have you heard then?
  20. So you think we gained an advantage over our competitors in League One by having Fonte due to NC selling him an ambition and nothing to do with the fact that we could afford greater wages than most of those around us.
  21. You've to find that irony just a little bit amusing surely?
  22. So how exactly are you going to jude KL if the worst happens and we do sell a couple of key players and MP decides to leave?
  23. How do you think we signed Fonte?
  24. Agreed. Imagine if this was the case "Sorry, held off as long as I could, but my natural impatience is getting the better of me... SFC is supposed to be a year-long professionally-run operation in one of the most celebrated and quality leagues of the best-likes spectator sport in the world. But come June, almost f**k-all is going on. We have no date for the kit release, though I am guessing the club has been negotiating with Addidas for f**king months. I remember even when we were back at the Dell a couple of times the next seasons kit was paraded round the field in the last couple of home games, and the likes of Chelsea and Manyoo can give previews at the beginning of the summer. We have no indicators of in-bound transfer activity, though we managed the time to tell 8 players "thanks but f**k off" Oh, we did manage to set the ST price, but then thats money.... Does every manager in every department just p*ss off for a month after the last game, like a crappy B&B shutting down for the winter ? IMO, the summer is the busiest time for some of the people at the club. Rant over, Sorry. "
