  1. Why do we have to give Kelvin Davis more game time? He's already had a fair bit this season, about the same as most 2nd choice keepers. His selection was one of those that set the tone for the day, players and fans alike are well aware he's easily a level down from Boruc's standard unfortunately.
  2. It may be a bit of a misquote by I think MP said he was not keen on the Europa League back in October this season.
  3. That we were playing lower league opposition in those games. That fans had already spent a fortune on season tickets etc. That we'd taken more support to Sunderland for a short-notice FA Cup game than we did for the league match there this season.
  4. What the f**k?!?!
  5. MP really did come out with a load of sh**e in his press stuff today.
  6. When has Lambert put in less than 100%? Who has said you should be banned for being critical of Lambert? Who has said we won't try and bring in a new striker this summer? I guarantee we will. Lambert won't go on for ever, but he's been absolutely brilliant for us, a proper hero and he's quite rightly afforded that respect from Saints fans.
  7. When were these seasons you speak of?
  8. You do understand what a question mark is? So, that's not what you were saying we should be aiming for? I'm with you now....
  9. You want us to go out and buy a striker that scores 20+ in the Prem? Thanks for the advice.
  10. It would be nice if our actual "Points System" referenced by the club so often, was actually used at some point!
  11. What has he said that is wrong? Manchester United not qualifying one season for european football won't bring about wholesale change of any kind.
  12. Yes, that's what happens at Waterloo
  13. Do you think we'll stay up this season mate?
  14. Exactly that really, we'll either have to be looking at £20m+ or being extremely clever/lucky with any signing.
  15. I'm not having a go at you, I don't have a problem with people being critical of Lambert's performances, there are plenty fo examples of him being below par. We'll definitely buy someone up-front this summer, I just think some need to realise potentially how much we're going to be asking for from our front-man and how difficult it maybe to tick all those boxes.
  16. Someone has replied to your post on the build up thread offering to take it off your hands.
  17. Yes they might. I'm not suggesting that we don't try and strengthen our forward line, of course that's important, Lambert will be 33 next season anyway. My point is directed at those that are always critical of Lambert - playing as a top-level striker in the Premier League isn't exactly an easy task, the fact that so many have failed or achieved little demonstrates that, Lambert has still delivered brilliantly for us, Osvaldo wasn't exactly brilliant in the games he played which should show how much of an ask it really is.
  18. So you're just thrilled to be in the Premier League, regardless of whether we're 8th or 18th? No-one has stated the the FA Cup QFs = the Final, so it's not surprising you find that baffling.
  19. Sturridge was always considered a highly talented player full of potential - look at the clubs he was at - Man City, Chelsea, then Liverpool - he just needed the right place to click. Which other strikers are you thinking of?
  20. So you know how much truth there is in that story and what has really happened? Not a fan of Allardyce or Nolan either, but Morrison has had plenty of problems in the past, so who knows what's happened.
  21. How many top-drawer, top 8 Premier League strikers, currently out there?
  22. Who were we competing with the buy Osvaldo? Fulham?
  23. Would expect some fairly massive bids for Lovren. We might have actually been lucky he's missed a fair few games injured and gone back under the radar a bit to hopefully put off a few potential buyers.
  24. Will we necessarily replace Hooiveld? How easy will it be to find a better player that is happy to be a 4th choice CB? He might well want to move for more playing time himself, the same will apply for Yoshida. Centre Back and Goalkeeper are the hardest positions to manage in terms of good quality squad players, as they may get very little playing time and their game is significantly based on their relationship around them, but can go large chunks of the season without really playing. It's a real pity we've not had any quality coming through our youth system in either position, which would be ideal for back-up.
  25. Might the reference to Barclays come from the funding provided for the £200k away fund coming from the Barclays Premier League? Regardless, this money shouldn't be spent on coach travel, but on match ticket price reduction.
