I'm not sure what your point is? That gate receipts no longer matter? 20-25% of income is still a very significant amount for any club.

You get less "chavs" on a night out in London, than any other city in the country.
-
I think he's on a bit of a wind-up.
-
And Southampton hasn't had the vasts sums of various public funds pumped into it in the same way a lot of other cities have.
-
Who's talking about what there is to do in a day for a tourist? I was replying to Pap's suggestion that Northern Cities = great, Southern Cities = crap. Out of interest, what is there to do in Carlisle, Whitby, Kendal, Plymouth and Ilkley? Genuinely didn't know they had much going on tourism wise.
-
Points in red. But Liverpool is twice the size of Southampton (give or take), surely a fairer comparison would be to compare it not to Liverpool, but to a similar sized city, say Derby or Hull if we're comparing how great northern cities are compared to southern ones.

Thing is I don't think Sunday's game was that expensive - £32 a ticket I think? Will be interesting to see how many get sold for the Man City game at top whack. I think the club have realised tickets aren't selling as well as expected, hence the announcement of the family ticket offers for the Fulham game.

As pointed out by VFTT above, there is reason to believe that some sections of the Muslim community want Sharia in this country, that can't really be disputed and certainly isn't a 'blatant lie'. I'm sure Galloway had a field day with him - one of parliament's best orators versus a former plumber from Luton.
-
What are the blatant lies he's told?
-
He's not an Oxbridge educated politician, but a working class lad from Luton, working without spin doctors etc, his presentation is never going to be great.

It just demonstrates what has always been the case; that Lennon's concept of a group that would rally against the extremes of Islam in the UK was always going to struggle to avoid the kind of followers that would give the movement a bad name. It doesn't sound like he's changed his views, just his approach, which is understandable.
-
What did he do last week?
-
Because he's sensible enough to realise that getting large groups out on the streets will only go one way, mainly with him ending up in court, it makes sense to take his message to a more respectable format. His views aren't really far-right, I'm sure some his followers might be though.
-
But if we took the full allocations, the extra tickets might go on sale to non-season ticket holders, that's their point I think.
-
How much thought had he put into celebrating his first goal in the Premier League

Plenty of Saints fans are able to "control their emotions" and not get on the back of their own players, I'm sure the rest could do the same if they really wanted to.
-
I'd disagree with any Saints player getting stick at a game, be that Fox, Guly, Ramirez etc.
-
This. It took a lack of originality to a whole new level.
-
Best home atmosphere of the season, hopefully it'll get back to that most weeks.
-
You think Fox wouldn't play better if he could?
-
Plenty of people having a go at him. What does it achieve? What's the point of it?
-
I thought Swansea were very good, one of the better sides we've seen here in the last few years, which makes us grinding out a win like that even better, real hardworking team performance. Lallana motm for me.

One of the stupidest songs in football.

I think I've seen every game he's played for us and I can't see what he offers us apart from a top attitude and lots of hard running. Centre mid is a tough position for a young player to prove himself, but if you look at someone like Ross Barkley, JWP is a fair way off.

My one negative of today was the bellends (you know who you are) spending a large part of the game having a go at Fox. 1) How can he make himself into a better player than he is? He tries his best, he can't magic himself into a Premier league player. If you've got such a problem with it, have a go at MP or NC for not replacing him in the summer. 2) We were battling against quality opposition, get behind our side, not constantly have a go at individuals.
