  1. Never heard of the lad, but surely he must be decent if he's a regular for Lyon and Croatia?
  2. Why are you so obsessed with Turkish's posts?
  3. I'm not sure how the use of Davis compared instead of Ramirez is related directly to the quality of our CBs, but yes it has been done to tighten us up overall which has worked you could argue. But where does that leave Ramirez if Pochettino feels Davis is better in that role? If we are to keep Ramirez I'd rather we built the team around him and started him in the "hole" or you may as well sell him and invest that money elsewhere.
  4. No because as already stated on this thread, Lambert drops deep or out-wide, so there is often not striker, or a striker with pace and movement playing in-front of him. He doesn't fit the system if he's sat on the bench.
  5. I think most of our players aren't a million miles away from Ramirez in quality. Yes Ramirez is probably a touch better than the rest, but there isn't such a gulf that it should significantly affect his performances in a detrimental way. As I stated in post 1797 I think he would benefit more from a change in system rather than there being a huge issue in terms of quality around him. Time will tell if a) MP wants to build the side around him to his strengths; b) He is able to remain fit and in good shape to get plenty of regular game time under his belt.
  6. So your Wolves/Ince comment was irelevant if none of our forward players are "nowhere near his level".
  7. So which of our current forward players are no-where near Ramirez's level?
  8. But that's not really comparable to this situation?
  9. He's not exactly being asked to play with a load of LEague 2 cloggers is he. Some pretty intelligent footballers with decent technique in Lambert, Lallana, Rodriques, Davis, Schneiderlin etc. I accept he could do with a bit more pace and movement around and in front of him.
  10. I do agree on Ramirez's quality and that we'd get more out of him with better players and more movement around/ahead of him. But he's not going to get a "Suarez" with us, so he'll need to adapt and adjust.
  11. Well should definitely sell Ramirez on that basis.
  12. Well what do you think of the stuff sent out with our season tickets this year then?
  13. For the right manager, with a bit of hard work and patience, there is definitely a very good opportunity to do something at QPR, looks like Fernandes is sticking around for a while.
  14. Can't see anyone paying that and matching his wages he's on with us at the moment.
  15. That's exactly what he's doing. And I wouldn't be surprised if Fernandes is using it as a tool to encourage his resignation.
  16. Seems like Bridge has gone to Reading.
  17. My thoughts exactly.
  18. Where has he said he's going to fund the skates? I can't see that in the Echo article.
  19. Well if it bothers you that much, just ignore the thread.
  20. If you read my post, I said his opinion was misjudged. My point was that I doubt it is part of some great thought-out scheme to attract skates to Hants, p**s off Saints fans, more likely its just an ill-judged, off the cuff comment.
  21. How much did Bransgrove feed off Saints? Maybe his stance wasn't aimed at bringing in new supporters, just an off-the-cuff, misjudged personal opinion of his own?
  22. Exactly that. And many football fans have the cheek to moan about lack of loyalty from players and managers.
  23. Not really three quaters based on the sides we put out season just gone. And not much different to most teams that get promoted to the Prem.
  24. Bit cringeworthy, but a fairly decent message. Certainly no worse than what was included in our Season Ticket pack.
