I'm not calling him a liar, I'm saying he's wrong if he thinks it takes two years to undertake such surveys. Surely someone with Cortese's ambition and forward planning would have had work on the ground started as soon as possible, so we'll be ready to take advantage of all the extra income we're now missing out on? It must be costing the club a fortune?
-
No, doesn't answer my question. Seeing as Cortese has been here for well over two years they have had ample time to undertake the relevant surveys, which certainly don't take a year to do.
-
You still haven't answered why Saints haven't put their plans in yet?
-
Of course you'll hear from me mate! Don't worry.
-
Your point will be relevant when they have a ground with a 32k capacity - that still appears quite a way off and they're sensibly going to see how each stage goes. Why aren't we putting our plans in yet? Surely it's not good that we're delaying so much on this? Surely someone with Cortese's vision, backed by the Liebherr's should have started work two years ago so that our capacity was ready for our time in the Prem? Can you think how much income we're now losing out on due to his short-sightedness and lack of ambition and planning?
-
Why? Surely a project of that magnitude is needed long-term, regardless of which league we might be playing for one season. What you're suggesting is if we stay up this year we'll put plans in, but then if we go down next season we'll put a hault to all work? Either we need expansion to grow the club or we don't.
-
Why do you think Cortese hasn't submitted plans for our ground yet?

14. Any of these things have actualy been posted on here.

But that's not due to it being a case of "doesn't matter". More the element of surprise and shock - a marathon in North-Eastern USA or an area, which is rightly or wrongly, still considered by many as a highly dangerous war-zone. If bombs were going off every month for the last few years in the USA the reaction might be slightly different. UK and US soldiers are still getting blown up in Afghanistan on a fairly regular basis and it doesn't get a fraction of the coverage this Boston incident has got for the same reason. Plus, I would assume more people in Britain have either been to that part of the States, know people from that area and therefore have more of a connection to the area than they would to Iraq, there is nothing wrong with that, it's just normal human nature.

Who has said it doesn't matter when "it's them"?

Iago Falque or however you spell it

Majority of that cost will be for security won't it?

Bit of a sad way to act on such a thread, it was a genuine question, pity you couldn't answer it. And not sure how you can claim to have "p****d all over" my point, when I haven't made one on this thread.

Which laws do you think were brought in as a result of the lies?

I was at Upton Park and remember it as not many people really knew what was going on and assumed it was just trouble related, without anyone being aware of the magnitude of the disater. Long time ago now obviously.

Jos Hooiveld: "I was the fall guy" - (INTERVIEW)
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Top bloke is Hooiveld. Pity he felt all the blame was getting pointed at him at the start of the season, thought part of being a Prem footballer is having a thick skin I guess. -
Exactly. Think there may have even been a case for replacing Schneiderlin on Saturday as he seemed to be walking a bit of a tightrope with his early booking, but we have no-one close to similar quality off the bench.
-
Got to love Di Canio, brilliant stuff.

Ramiez, time to settle or not good enough?
Sour Mash replied to southamptonfclegend's topic in The Saints
I don't think people should have a go at it him, but this is a ridiculous attitude, that we can't make any judgement on a player for two years of his very well paid contract. I'm sure our management team are making judgements on players every game. -
What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I just hope they all had a good time and didn't get too wet.

Played Off The Park: The Pochettino Effect
Sour Mash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
exactly this. Our form under Adkins in his last two months once settled in the Prem with a full strength team was excellent -

i don't blame them for thinking it should buy someone that can put one decent cross in out of 5 or 6 free kick chances. -

Fox should have been taking our free kicks. Wasting one or two you can live wit, but that was just too many for my liking. He needs to have it drummed into him that sometimes it's ok to just play a simple ball. Maybe he's trying too hard to be clever at times. He's still got bags of talent and as stated further up, can see him and Rodriguez linking up well, but still a very frustrating player. -
Anyone see the hundreds turn out at Trafalgar Sq today? Wasn't that impressive? No end to the change they will bring in through their turn out today.
