Can't see WH or Reading dropping any more points from now until the end of the season. However, the goalposts haven't moved for us, 7 points required, we just have 1 less game to do it in
-
and tbh, Martin didn't really do a lot wrong during his spell in the team. In fact, I thought he was the better centre half
-
re watch match, Fonte was at fault for 1 and 3
-
Our defending was poor. I agree that on another day we could, and maybe should, have scored 4 or 5, but defending like that worries me. Fonte was at fault for goals 1 and 3, and the 2nd goal is amateur all the way through from hammond losing possession to the 3 defenders holding hands on the 6 yard box and leaving Le Fondre to just run in and score.
-
If we defend like we have done in the past few weeks we'll finish 3rd and mess up in the playoffs
-
Haven't they already said that there is 0% chance that this will happen?
-
I stand corrected, 7 points needed. Still can't afford any more slip ups, Hopefully we'll be fine.
-
We now have to win all 3 games, West Ham will go unbeaten now until the end of the year
-
Makes Tuesday's game "must-win" now
-
12 shots on target and 1 goal vs. 4 shots on target and 3 goals that's why we lost the match
-
I think his main attribute is he is a natural on-field leader, we don't have one. Hammond goes hiding too much to be a captain
-
As I said, Reading were the most well organised team I have seen so far this season. They remind me of the Greece team that won Euro 2004. Well organised, strong defence, good attack that takes the few chances they may get in a match, and they have lady luck on their side. On another night we wouldn't have conceded 3, and could have scored 4 or 5.
-
He seems a bit negative to me. He doesn't like to run at defenders or use his pace, he's always turning backwards instead of getting to the touchline and putting a cross in. His crossing is quite poor. I know Reading doubled up on him but he was up against Harte, who let's be fair has never been the quickest, but he should have known that and used his pace against him

If Guly played like Chaplow did last night there would be mayhem on here. Chaplow has been poor since his injury and last night summed it up. Complete rubbish last night. The RM is a serious issue
-
That was poor last night, on all accounts. I've been saying it for months, we aren't good enough to go up, and I still don't think we will. My reasons are as follows. - Lack of goals - Same for Pompey & Blackpool game, we didn't convert our chances into goals. - Poor Defending - I can think of 10 poor goals we've given away in the past 3 weeks (3 v Blackpool, 2 v Pompey, 2 v Millwall) Fonte and Hooiveld just don't seem the players they were at the begining of the season, the midfield are slow at helping out and we aren't close enough to opposition players. - Injuries - Can't be helped, I know, but they've cost us. Lee and Morgan are key players who are missing, but players who have been injured haven't come back and played anywhere near good enough (Chaplow/Guly etc) - Not enough urgency - It frustrated the living daylights out of me last night when at 80 minutes + we were still passing the ball around the back four and only had 2 players in the box when we got in a crossing position. If you see Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal etc when they need a goal, it's relentless, we just didn't look like it. - Wobble - we're bottling it. There were no leaders on the pitch last night. Hammond isn't a captain, we need a defender/midfield leader, someone like Roberts, who inspired the team and you could see the other players looked to him for motivation, we don't have anyone like that. It's the reason why 14 days ago we were 5 points ahead of reading, and now we're 3 behind them Anyway, fair play to Reading, they have the 3 key attributes which make up a successful team: They defend well, Take their chances in front of goal when they get them, and they have luck on their side. They'll do well in the Premiership.

Saints team tonight: Lambert, Lambert, Lambert, Lambert, Lambert, Lambert, Lambert, Lambert, Lambert, Lambert, Lambert Come on you Reds!
-
I don't know why everyone is ****ting themselves over Leigertwood? He's a decent player, yes, but he's no better than Cork/Hammond/Schneiderlin
-
just hope Lambert is fit tonight, any more news on Morgan
-
They've had a day more of rest. They played: Friday, Tuesday, Friday We played: Saturday, Monday, Friday
-
I'm just glad it's at St. Mary's and not at the Fortress Mad Stad. Our players would have crumbled in the hostile atmosphere.
-
as far as I'm aware, it's just facilities. Which include playing pitches, and education facilities. Nothing to do with reputation, hence why Man City are cat 1 ahead of people like Palace/Crewe etc
-
It depends if they have the funds to upgrade their current facilities. I've been to Watford's training ground/youth facilities and they are pretty adequate. They may produce good players, but that doesn't warrant them gaining grade 1. As far as I am aware, it's Us, Man City and 1 other which will originally gain cat 1 status.
-
We will lose this. We are Saints, we never, ever do things the easy way
-
Anyway, back to the OP, just phoned TO and there are Very limited seats left, only the odd few individual seats
-
I think everyone dislikes KUMB (and NSC) because of their "we'll win the league by 20 at xmas" attitude
