  1. I don't see how it will cause the wheels to fall off? Worst case scenario is we're still 5 points clear of 3rd with 6 to play
  2. exactly, I'd much rather be at least 5 points clear with 6 games to go than having to chase us. Best case scenario... Saints win v Blackpool/Reading beat WH (9points clear of WH/5 clear of Reading with 6 to play) Saints win v Pompey/Reading and WH both win (as above but 5 games to go) Saints won v Palace/Reading and WH Both win (as above but 4 games to go) means Saints win v Reading and we're up, effectively as champions (8 points clear of Reading, at least 9 clear of WH with 3 to play)
  3. basically... best case scenario: Saints win/Reading win (9points clear of third) worst case scenario: Saints lose/West Ham win (5 points clear of third) a draw between Reading and WH would be ideal
  4. This, for me, is the hardest game left, and the one I expect us not to get much from. Sharp, I hope, will use the confidence of gettign 2 goals last week and carry on, him and Lambert to start again up front. If we defend well, we should be fine. They look quite shakey at the back, their defending for all 3 Reading goals last week was poor. If they play like that against us, we'll win. I'm going for a 1-1 draw
  5. old farmhouse is open, but you will have to go round the back
  6. Adam Blackmore ‏ @bigadamsport Just finishing work on a #saintsfc club finance story which will air @ 0700 tomorrow, fans can also hear details in @solentsport bulletins possibly linked? more to do with training ground I would have thought? Or we're in administration? Or end of financial year profit/loss
  7. Morgan Easily our most talented player. His passing, tacking and work rate are second to none. The amount of chances he makes for us and prevents us conceding is a lot more than anyone else on our team. Just needs to add goals to his game....
  8. queue the weekly obsession with West Ham....
  9. I would have a meeting with Cameron and tell him exactly what I think of his ridiculous policies and his party. Would bring much more satisfaction to me than buying a house. I'm unfortunate enough to live in an area where our MP is Conservative, and she came round my house the other day to "see if she was representing her constituency properly". I only aksed her one question, which was "Why are you using a taxi to go from area to area in your constituency and getting the tax payer to fit the bill when you have a bus pass and 95% of area's you need to go to are accessibly by public transport, something you keep saying we should use to help cut pollution" Like most politicians, she refused to answer
  10. I think that could backfire onto his players. If you saw your manager basically giving up in the paper, you aren't going to bust a testicle for him are you?
  11. Now 3 goals in his last 4 England games I believe as he got 2 in 3 in a tournament a few weeks ago. He's the one from the academy I think is most exciting. Ahead of Stephens, JWP, Sinclair,Shaw etc
  12. Now been cancelled. Hopefully re-scheduled for later in the week
  13. Although the gap will be 3 points come 10pm Saturday...
  14. For those criticising his attitude, he gives 30% of his wages to charity, something which I doubt many other professional footballers do, or people to be honest. Although he has had his negative moments, he's a talented player. Out of all the "names" at Doncaster, he'll be one of the ones who'll get a decent club. Other's like Chimbonda (how on earth was he a premiership player for so many years) and Piquionne may struggle. Barnes and Gillett also played well
  15. I was sat in the Chappel and a man and (what I presume) his son (aged about 12) got up and walked towards the aisle. I was sat in the way so they asked me to move and I said "oh, I never heard the final whistle go", to which the response I got from the adult was "We're beating the traffic you pr1ck!" If you were that man, sat block 18, row C, do us a favour and learn some manners before returning to St. Mary's (He was constantly moaning throughout the game, taking Lambert off was "clueless" and Sharp "should have shot earlier" for the second goal)
  16. West Ham will be just 3 points behind us come 8pm next saturday
  17. TBH, I know people say Ward-Prowse and Sinclair have a lot of potential (Which they do) But I think Chambers will be the one who'll make a lasting impression on Saints. He can play anywere across the midfield and even up front. Tall, quick, skillful player with an eye for goal
  18. The Old Farmhouse is likely to be open but on a secret knock system as he'll have the front boarded up like when we played them in the cup
  19. That should be true, I can't see them making you buy a ticket for Doncaster if you phone up on Monday
  20. He'll play against us
  21. To mirror what someone else has previously said, 4 home wins and we'll be up. Reading have 4 very tough away games, I can't see them getting 12 points from them, especially now Roberts is out. West Ham's fixtures are tricky, but it all depends which WH turn up. They could go on and win all their remaining games. looking at the fixtures and the table: Doncaster H - Will be tough, fighting for their lives and have some very good players Blackpool A - another tough one, still fighting for a play-off place. Same day that WH v Reading Portsmouth H - No Comment Crystal Palace A - Nothing really to play for, very slim outside chance of making play-offs, but that dream could be over by the time we play them Reading H - Very tough, obviously depends how we are placed when game comes around and how they got on v WH. Will be tricky with or without Roberts. Peterborough A - So much of a hit and miss team it's hard to tell what will happen, they should be safe by then so hopefully won't have too much to play for. Middlesbrough A - Could be tricky as they could still be fighting for a play-off place. Bit of a hit and miss team too. Coventry H - Hopefully they'll already be down by this point
  22. right, we have 4 remaining home games, 3 of which are against the 3 teams currently occupying the relegation zone. Win those 4 games, and we're up
  23. He is touch and go with a back injury. Has travelled with team but will wait until K/O to see on his fitness
  24. My 1 year old woke up in the 84th minute, I went up stairs and we were 2-1 down. After a nappy change and giving his dummy back, i came back downstairs where i was listening online, and didn't realise we were 3-2 up until Blackmore said "One last throw in for Saints to hold onto this lead!"
  25. Seriously, what the f*ck just happened?
