  1. Decided to start a new game and start off unemployed and work my way up. Still unemployed at the start of October, but applied for jobs at Boston united and Droylsden, with the latter offering me my first job. We were currently sitting bottom of the league, 13 points adrift of safety without a win all season. After 6 games (5 defeats and a 3-3 draw with Blyth Spartans where I was 3-1 up with 4 minutes to go) I got sacked. In February I applied for, and got, the hardest job in British football; Darlington. 23rd in BSP, 7 points from safety, in administration and a transfer embargo was what I walked into. Lost the first game 4-0 to Mansfield and then 7-1 to Ebbsfleet. I fined most of the team who then had a strop and refused to pay for me. Some were let go on free transfers by the board, and I was left with only 13 "real" players. Somehow managed to win 4 out of last 5 games (including beating Stockport 3-1 on last day away to stay up by 1 goal over Southport) However, I was soon sacked by the administrators and have just been appointed Mansfield manager. Already signed Chambers, Sinclair and Ward-Prowse on free transfers after they got released from Saints! Mad I know
  2. All depends on if he is fit
  3. I wondered how long it would be before someone quoted my song. I'll deffo be singing it, but please NO CLAPPING!!!
  4. If we get 7 points from this week's games I think we'll be up.
  5. We'll give you a wave on Match of the Day!
  6. As far as I know, he has written a complaint to Reading football club and asked them to take up the matter further
  7. because those from up north/wales/scotland are too bloody stubborn to let it go
  8. The logic the Argies employ is laughable "It's in our water so it's ours" What so does that mean that Alaska belongs to Canada? jog on! They can huff and puff all they like, at the end of the day, they are trashing their own city. If they wanted the Islands that badly they wouldn't have surrendered and would have re-attacked a lot quicker. If it does go to self-determinism, there's only one winner
  9. slightly off topic, but does anyone know where I can download the background song in this video? I seem to remember it was available on one of the other saints fans websites but can't seem to find it anywhere
  10. already a thread on this
  11. Do I think we'll go up? I'm undecided. My mood changes more than a pregnant woman. It all depends on Saturday. If we win, our confidence will return and I think we'll go on and get promoted. If we fail to win, I think doubts will start to set into the players minds and we'll finish 3rd. Either way, if we don't go up, it won't be the end of the world, we have a great team and just a few more additions will make us stronger and in a better position. West Ham on the other hand, need to go up this year
  12. He means that when they beat us in the FA Cup at SMS they were owned by the taxman. All the times where they have been owned by individuals, they have lost
  13. if we are going to sing who the f*ck is laughing now, can we at least get it right. It's NOT clapping all the way through. Its: Shala la la la la la la (CLAP CLAP) Shala la la la la la la (CLAP CLAP) Shala la la la la la la (CLAP CLAP) Who the f*ck is laughing now. with the constant clapping all the way through, you can't actually hear the words
  14. As I said, he'll play against us
  15. It's him giving the Reading fans a rude gesture, after this is when he is believed to have spat. I know the person who got spat on, and I fully trust him, he isn't the type of person who makes things up, and he was sat directly behind the goal
  16. I'm sorry, what game did you watch? He was stood around doing sweet FA most of the game, no runs, no movement, no hunger. He quite clearly didn't want to be out there and made it obvious. The most incompetent performance I've seen in a Saints shirt in a while. I don't mind people who aren't good enough but try (Forte, Harding etc) but people who don't put in 100% I have no time for, and that was Guly yesterday. Going back to the original post, I think it's a tad harsh. yes Sharp was poor yesterday, but last week he lead the line brilliantly, and looked as if he could have scored more. The penalty probably didn't help his confidence.

To me, it's not about top stop, it's about the top 2. I'm only seeing it as we're 6 points clear of 3rd with 6 games to go. We need to get over the promotion line, anything else is a bonus
  18. He was on crutches at Millwall match so could be some truth in this story. We needed his off the ball running yesterday as Guly, well let's not comment on him. As has been said above, if true, Sharp needs to step up, and quick. Might be worth giving Barney a bit more playing time. I think Connolly is injured? Maybe time to give Forte a phone call
  19. Today, during the game with Reading, and after Vaz Te had made the score 2-3, Nolan spat on a reading fan. What an absolute disgrace of a human being, let alone professional football club captain he is. This is the captain of the club who's fans boo'd El Hadji Diouf for spitting at a celtic fan years ago. Below is the moment when the incident occured

    so what?
  21. sorry mods, there was no group before I started writing, now looks like I've been beat to it. Please feel free to merge into other group
  22. Poor performance. We just didn't turn up, by the time we started playing, we were 3-0 down and it was effectively game over. however, there were some positives, Morgan played well, Lallana looked lively, Sharp played well on his own up front, and I honestly believe that this result is the perfect result. We haven't been playing that well recently, and Claridge summed it up perfectly, with us knowing WH lost, we looked complacent. I hope and think this result will be the kick up the backside that we need. I had this down as our hardest game remaining, and so it proved. The back 4 and Cork were also poor today, we were too far away from their wingers from the 1st minute, I knew that we would have 1 bad game/result and I'm glad it was this week not next week. Hopefully Lambert, Lee and Richardson are fit for next week
  23. Confirmed by club he's not had an op and is not put for season
  24. Look, stop panicking! If he did have an operation, why was he training in Wednesday? If he needed one he would have had it Monday. Plus it's a groin strain, which was picked up in training, not the same reason he came off against Donny
  25. 4 different goalies have been used by the development squad this season. You're making mountains out of molehills
