  1. The descriptive words I know just couldn't describe this amazing short video in this link, well IMHO anyway http://www.flixxy.com/hubble-ultra-deep-field-3d.htm :cool:
  2. Don't worry people , he wants to take them to league 2 "Lloyd maintains his priority is to “take the club back to where it deserves to be,” See all is ok after all .
  3. Didn't understand a word that was said
  4. IMHO the PL don't appear to be as tough as the Italians were re Juventus etc a few years ago. Of course I am probably totally incorrect and the PL will look into this whole situation very soon and they will take severe action against Portsmouth and individuals.:smt009
  5. I wish you people would stop posting these as when I play them they upset my cats :D:D
  6. Ah just realised that if he increases debt then that will make the percentage of the total debt owed to HMRC less than 25% so that HMRC cannot vote against that CVA thing.
  7. Sorry to seem dimmer than usual but do you really mean "decrease" debts rather than increase ?? .
  8. Spinage is very bad for people who suffer from kidney stones, something in it seems to hasten their formation.
  9. The club could submit a retrospective application for a Uefa licence, but their financial predicament makes it unlikely this would be granted. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8558580.stm Also from 606 : It may be a blessing in disguise - if we start next season with a small squad and a points deduction, we will not need the distraction of extra games PompeyWallasey Oh yes just a thought, I hope GM doesn't find my post boring seeing as I am an ex pat who is not called Pat .
  10. WOMEN will be allowed to serve on UK submarines for the first time, it was revealed yesterday. The first 20 female submariners will sail on Vanguard-class subs carrying Trident nuclear missiles. But allowing women on submarines could lead to sex scandals, it was claimed last night. Some Navy chiefs fear Wrens and male sailors living together in close quarters will break strict "no touching" rules. Initially, five women officers will be deployed with each of the four Vanquish-class nuclear subs' 135-strong crew. But a naval source said last night: "There is concern over what might happen. Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2884298/Women-to-serve-on-Royal-Navy-submarines-for-first-time.html#ixzz0he98qJD5 I am sure DD said this would never happen  .
  11. A woman who caused a two-car crash was shaving her bikini line when she ploughed into another vehicle. Megan Mariah Barnes, 37, had asked her ex-husband to steer while she tidied up her pubic hair when they smashed into the back of a pick-up on a Florida highway. Barnes was meeting her boyfriend in Key West and wanted to be "ready for the visit", according to news service CBS. :D http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/6908482/woman-crashes-while-shaving-bikini-area/
  12. Rather a large area that, do you really mean Bursledon ?
  13. Thank you, I never thought of that. I have now checked both lots of settings and I changed the ones on the XP computer to be the same as the other one.
  14. IMHO GM is an interesting and informative poster 98% of the time, however now and then he says something that appears to be just to wind people up and get a reaction. As I have said in the past I always read what he has posted but I don't always agree with him. Signed an ex-pat. BTW what is an ex-pat ? my name was never Pat so how do I qualify and am I really an ex-pat ?
  15. On our computer which uses XP, everytime I update AVG I have to do a restart to install the updates. On our other computer with VISTA I don't have to do a restart. Please does anyone know if I can get rid of this annoying restart thing ? .
  16. You could always join "WSPA" they fight for animal rights all over the world, and yes I am a member I am proud to say. However I am also a coward when it comes to reading about animal mistreatment ( I can't, I get so angry and very bitter towards these ********) so I pay monthly but at my request they never send me their newsletter . Certain wimpy posters on here won't like me saying this but I would be ecstatic if I was asked to kill animal and child abusers. .
  17. My feelings exactly plus I feel that somehow they will be given even more time by the Court. I worry that the judge will fudge his decision by saying that the HMRC are not 100% correct in some way. I can't give definite reasons of course, it's just a bad feeling I have.
  18. Police have discounted a sighting of a girl in The Warehouse in Dunedin more than two years ago as missing British girl Madeleine McCann. CCTV footage showed a girl being led into a supermarket by a man in shorts, while another photo in Britain's Daily Mail showed a young girl in The Warehouse accompanied by a man in shorts and an older boy. Police have identified the girl and her family, and she is not the missing British girl, acting Southern District commander Inspector Dave Campbell said tonight. http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-stories/6888609/dunedin-sighting-not-madeleine-mccann-police/ .
  19. First of all a big thank you to the posters who explain everything so that even dim people like me understand this whole saga. Perhaps one of them could answer these maybe silly questions ?, Will Fuglers have serious legal problems because of what Mark Jacobs did whilst employed by them ? Could HMRC or the Police fraud lot take them to Court ? .
  20. FIA say that Stefan will Not be allowed into F1 this year. http://nz.sports.yahoo.com/motorsport/news/article/-/6885692/usf1-2010-season
  21. It's all ok people "Air NZ praises convicted pilot" "An Air New Zealand pilot who did not tell authorities about three drink-driving convictions was described last night as a "model citizen" by the airline." The CEO said "He trusted West had overcome any problems with alcohol, and had no issues with him remaining as a pilot." He doesn't know then ? just trusts ? A taxi driver might ( but only might ) keep his taxi licence for one conviction, two convictions and he will be needing another job as he would lose his taxi licence for ever but this pilot keeps his. .
  22. Well they won't pay it back thats for sure giving their record of paying debts
  23. New Zealand Police have announced that they have caught several Air NZ staff drink driving whilst on their way to work. One pilot, whom they still employ and he still flys, has several convictions, which he kept secret somehow although they have known since 2007. The head of the country's national airline is standing by one of his pilots who concealed from the company three drink-driving convictions. Air New Zealand pilot Warwick West had convictions for drink-driving in 1998, 2001 and 2007 and one further charge against him dropped in 2004, 3 News reported tonight. During that time he continued to fly and did not tell Air NZ or the Civil Aviation Authority of his offending. It was only when police tipped off both organisations after the 2007 conviction that they became aware. Tonight's revelation comes days after an internal police memo suggesting that there was a drinking culture among Air New Zealand staff was leaked to 3 News. The claim was vigorously denied by the airline http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/latest/6884238/air-nz-ceo-stands-by-drink-drive-pilot/ .
  24. I think that it is symptomatic of how things are in the World these days. People want it all and they want it now not in a year or twos time. As Dubai Phil and others have said anyway / anyhow so that they can manage to get more time in the hope that some mug will buy them. I still blame that woman registrar for all this.
  25. Lots more humour on this website:- http://www.aviation-humor.com/cms/view.php?id=75
