  1. Catastrophic Man Made Global Warming is a hoax. There is no real-world evidence whatsoever to suggest that the modest warming of around 0.8 degrees C which the planet has experienced since 1850 is in any way dangerous or unprecedented. Even the suggestion that it is mostly man-made is at best moot, at worst long since falsified by real world data and superseded by more plausible theories So next time you hear the BBC (or similar) spouting some unutterable crap about some amazingly shocking new event/piece of research/paper showing that the glaciers or Greenland are melting faster than before, that polar bears or coral reefs are becoming more endangered, or that there's anything remotely worrying about the possibility that the planet has warmed by 1.5 degrees C since the Industrial Revolution, don't just take it with a huge pinch of salt. Treat it with about as much respect as you would a report from North Korea radio telling you that this year's bumper grain harvest has been more gloriously plentiful than ever before and that workers are now at severe risk of expiring due to an excess of nourishment, plenitude and joy. http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/jamesdelingpole/100173120/97-per-cent-of-the-world-to-be-destroyed-tomorrow/
  2. Well as for that response by pimpey scot I stopped reading as soon as he played the Holocaust card. I am a tad fed up with that still being dragged up also the Liverpool and Man Utd tragedys. All sad events but History now so get over it otherwise it will consume you mentally. Before anyone calls me insensitive I better say that 2 close relatives of mine were murdered by the Japanese in Changi prison in Singapore during WW2 but I don't harp on about it. I also don't hold any hate towards them or the Germans who also killed some relatives in WW1 and WW2. Sorry rant over.
  3. What would happen if the trust and chinny joined together? .
  4. Thanks Derry for your input. I may well be wrong but I thought Ryanair are very keen on pilots paying for their own training.
  5. So does this mean if chinny takes all the parachute money after 2 years and then pulls the plug the outstanding debtors won't get all of the money they are still due? The more things change the more they stay the same.
  6. Will that be 4 equal payments every year or 1 payment after 4 years? "Sorry men we have gone broke" says club spokesman just before payment is due.
  7. A US photographer who captured the exact moment he was bitten by a potentially fatal snake did not even realise he had taken the photo until the next day. Mark Laita was taking photos of the black mamba for his latest wildlife photography book Serpentine when the snake latched onto his leg, New Scientist reports. While black mambas are considered to be one of the 10 most venomous land snakes in the world, Mr Laita had a lucky escape when he only suffered a "dry bite" where the venom was not actually injected. Mr Laita said he did not realise he had taken the photo of the snake hanging off his leg until he was looking through photos the following day. "It all happened so fast," he said. 8. melmacian saint, it is a legal requirement to report any collision at once to ATC etc and both planes must be inspected by engineers before being allowed to fly. The captain was demoted back to a FO and Ryanair use this situation in crew training now so in the end Ryanair appear to have recognised how dangerous that incident was. According to the official report: "The FA seems to have been unaware of the safety implications of the information she was providing. First, she rang only once, instead of the three times that, as stated by the flight crew, are procedurally required if a condition poses a threat to safety. As the captain noted, this predisposed her to not place too much importance on the report. Secondly, the FA began her report with "I'm sorry to bother you, I know I'm not supposed to ...", as she stated, or with "For your information only", according to the captain's statement. In any event, either expression indicates hesitation regarding whether or not she should have interrupted the pilots' activities with this report. Another indication of the poor communication is the fact that when recounting her conversation with the captain, the FA described the captain's explanation as involving "aviation terminology", which suggests that the FA was not familiar with the language used by the pilot. The fact that the captain believed only one passenger, and not several, had reported the collision is further proof of this miscommunication and proved critical to her assessment of the situation, as she herself stated."
  9. I used to enjoy the "Ghost Walks" in the winter evenings. Don't know if they still do them though. The parks were / are ? ok in the day but not very safe at night from what I can remember. Mind you what city anywhere is safe at night these days?
  10. Sir,Sir I know Sir, please pick me Sir
  11. Could have led to a fatal crash over the Atlantic if the elevator of the 767 had been damaged a bit more. Being hit by turbulence during the flight could have caused further damage and then there would have been a big splash. "An American Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N366AA performing flight AA-67 from Barcelona,SP (Spain) to New York JFK,NY (USA), had taxied to the holding point runway 25L and was holding short of the runway. A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-EKB performing flight FR-8136 from Barcelona,SP (Spain) to Ibiza,SP (Spain) with 169 passengers and 6 crew, was taxiing along Barcelona's taxiway K for departure from runway 25L and was maneouvering to pass behind the Boeing 767-300. A number of passengers on board of the Boeing 737-800 observed the right hand wing of the aircraft contact the tailplane of the Boeing 767-300 and rose out of their seats attracting the attention of a flight attendant. A passenger told the flight attendant, that their aircraft had hit the aircraft besides them. The flight attendant contacted the purser, who instructed her to contact the flight deck, she contacted the flight deck and informed the captain that passengers had seen their aircraft had hit another aircraft. The captain responded however everything was fine and she continued with the takeoff about 2 minutes after the Boeing 767. Immediately after departure the passengers insisted the flight was not safe and they had collided with another aircraft, one of the passengers identified himself as an engineer. The flight attendant told the engineer that the captain had been informed and had told everything was fine. No further information was forwarded to the flight deck. it was identified that the right hand winglet of the Boeing 737-800 had received damage, the Boeing 767-300 was found with damage to the left hand stabilizer following landing in New York." http://www.avherald.com/h?article=45363621&opt=0
  12. More's the pity it isn't over yet. Bored to tears with it already.
  13. How much longer is this extended sports day lasting? Can't be much longer surely seeing all those empty seats so might as well end it very soon.
  14. So is Trevor now misleading about the actual numbers that need to leave I suppose in the past he might have just made a mistake saying 8 needed to go, I mean he always appears unsure about the real date the final day will be. He keeps changing that as deadline after deadline comes and goes.
  15. Surprised no-one has mentioned a certain Tommy Fourpast Oh...
  16. Well as far as I am concerned if they aren't dead they have got away with it. I don't want them to suffer I want them dead full stop.
  17. Wonder if the "fors" will still feel the same when the bills keep rolling in and in and in? I wonder if they will enjoy watching the UK elite watching from the best seats that have been given to them. So pleased none of my hard earned cash will be going to the spongers
  18. What are these "olympics" of which you speak?? Roll on the 18th when the Football Season starts !!!
  19. Not so sure that will be a good PR as far as the other companies they have had in Admin are concerned. Shows their fees are way to high if they can afford to do that and also IF they did it for other companies it would have helped the creditors of those companies to get more money back than they did.I also wonder if other companies they have not helped in that way could have legal redress??
  20. "At this moment in time" when the one word "now" is just as good. Also what Bexy said and one more point I get so fed up when the person says "um" every few words. I usually turn the radio off then.
  21. They were going to but removed his picture when he said he was going to talk to Kanu.
  22. Kanu being in Nigeria also means he is out of reach of any persons who wish to do him physical harm making him feel quite safe.Wheras players who live in England will have to keep both eyes open all the time just in case.
  23. NC probably heard that pimpey were going to offer higher wages than Saints so by putting money down that would rule out pimpey. Don't forget they have outbid Doncaster for Simon Gillet by saying they would pay higher wages than Doncaster can afford.
  24. I believe that Saints have had several excellent Scottish types over the years.
  25. Watch obviously..... they don't like paying the players do they??
