Agh yes but Blackpool Wigan and Wolves haven't got the big attractions like Johnny Westward and a planned bedpan stadium. PS. Did the Brighton fans catch him?

Mobile speed camera at Bitterne Lances Hill
tony13579 replied to mightysaints's topic in Motoring Forum
Southampton and hampshire councils pay a grant to the camera partnerships out of our council tax. FACT! Hampshire camera partnership make money not from fines but those stupid speed awareness courses people pay for to avoid points. Many of the trainers on these courses are jobs for the boys ( retired cops ) in firms set up by retired police chiefs. All approved by ACPO a private company of current police chiefs. They can retire after just 30 years service to those nice little earners. The prison service is not quite so appealing these days to retired plod when these is easier money available. -
Have any of you used rubber to enhance performance?

Why do travel bands work for sea sickness? Maybe they do work? -

Oh no! BC forgot to ring with the cash transfer details!

They just lose my trade unless I am desperate. Southampton must have some of the highest taxi rates in existance. If they charged fair I would use them more often.

Looks good for the Millwall match being called off then

I live a few hundred yards out side the city boundery and the cheating little blighters keep trying to charge me boundery charge on pre-booked rides. I hope they all starve!

Greedy Stupid Unions (Main Board & Lounge all in one)
tony13579 replied to Gemmel's topic in The Lounge
I doubt you can just join london transport and become a tube driver on 44k the next day. I bet there is a job that leads in to it... ex british rail driver and a whole load of tickets (exam certs) (medicals) And how many of you have started work on a week of shifts at 5:30 on site? responsibillity... how many of you are responsible for the lives of 400 people every time you drive? Who wants to live in London with the house prices? If a southampton bus driver gets £25k a tube driver on earlier shifts with london housing costs and more responsibillity has to be worth £40k ish, minimum I am not saying thier demands are right just the balance of the argument is a bit twisted. -
Oh yes but they are "fair" cuts ....spit...
-
We need a good protest. Not the bloody students who should pay for their three year Holliday. Is bloody Dave and his " fair " cuts. He is not making changes that will repay the debt now. He is making changes that will keep the little man poor for ever and the rich richer. He is reducing the amount your pension increases so you die poor. ( You will inherit less from your relatives too) He is making it harder to get a mortgage. Making the banks stock pile more of OUR money so we have less. People are too subservient. These bar stewards are dipping into our pockets taking huge wads of cash and asking us to say "Thank-you Sir" For instance my pension has been deferred three years. £15k X 3 = £45k Change from RPI to CPI means that as I retire that £15k will decay and after 10 years it will only be £13.2k Students fees is effectively a tax rise. Cutting the money sent to local government will mean a rise in council tax, parking charges, less services. Quite honestly they are too cowardly to raise the income tax rate. They should send everyone their own tax bill for the national debt and ask them to choose a payment plan. (I think this should go out to every one over 10) I demand a riot!

I don't actually think that greed is labours vice. Labours vice is ego. The believe that they know better than all of us. A few more rules will cure it. The blind belief that they can save the planet, cure the middle east, that demolishing and rebuilding schools will make the teachers and pupils perfect. That sending 50% of students to university will make them all intelligent. The Tories don't care about the lower and middle classes as long as they can support the toffs. There are a clears subset of greedy Tories who believe they are so privileged that they don't have to follow rules and can avoid taxes. Our country is full of fools who believe they are a higher class than they are and vote believing they will Prosper under Tories. Truth is labour blew £70,000 per head and we are all skint. I don't know how we will recover. I don't know how we can afford all these green gestures, we need to sort out out manufacturing industry, stop buying foreign goods and holidays. I doubt we can sell our banking services any more.

HMV... I quite admire how they have diversified. Books, games etc. I went in with a ludite friend. Place was buzzing. Unlike most of us who eBay,amazon etc there are a huge army of ludites who only buy with cash and must go to a shop and pay for their limited over priced stock. It is a business model that still works.

Pompey were offering thier internet enabled bus to assist a theatre charity in Portsmouth to raise funds in the high street. They are either on a major charm offensive or they are not... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Pompey-bus-arrives-to-launch.6652139.jp Personally , on track record, I wouldnt let my firm and reputation any where near them. The chances of a little good PR is much too riskey versis the chances of some huge bad PR.

Its like they are sitting down in a Michelin star resturant, yet they can't even afford the price of a cup of coffee.

I have some fantastic Bluetooth headphone from 7dayshop.com at around £18. Charge from USB. Last 11 hours+. Great sound. Over the ear/ back of the neck style. So good I got a spare pair for work. I no longer fling my iPhone over the room when I go to the photocopier.

I don't think the money is in their bank account. I think UHY have emptied the account (and the wage bill) and yet again they may be trading insolvently. I wonder if thier tax bill is up to date?
