Hi, I want you all to educate your familys not to pay over the odds for this solar electric panels. The salesmen will tell you it pays back in 8-15 years. The numbers don't add up. My sister was quoted £12,000 to install them. The average paid back so far is.... £247 per installation.... so that would be 48 years pay back... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13296404 Solar panels by numbers • 32,372 domestic solar installations so far • Total payments made so far: £8m • Payment to domestic consumers: 43.3p per kw/h • Installed capacity of 86MW, equivalent to one small coal-fired power station. • Solar panels only generate at full capacity between 10% and 30% of the time. Source: Ofgem, Decc, Ernst & Young. 8 000 000 / 32 372 = 247.127147 Hants county council plans to spend £15,000,000 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/9108459.Solar_plan_gets_backing/ even with very generous feed in tariffs it will alerdly pay for it self in 15 years... however these feed in tariffs are subsidised by our fuel bills of thos of us who cant afford to blow £12000 or would need to upgrade/renew the roof first. or the roof is facing the wrong way. I am all for renewable energy , but this stuff simply does not cost in. The interest on the money costs about the same as you likly to be saving. If intrest rates rocket they you will be losing big time. £12000 borrowed at 4% costs £480 per year!

When ever a "lock this thread" post appears a whole new angle usually appears. we still have a number of delayed/gagged court cases to conclude. News is thin other than PFC blowing all thier season ticket money in a month. As soon as the cash has gone the fun will start up again... sure as skates are skates

In many jobs they can easily back fill people who leave. However a significant section of public sector jobs are like a closed shop needing a specific set of educational qualifications taking 5 years to obtain. I believe these pension reforms will be adopted and huge numbers will resign to seal their pensions at the current deal. This will be followed by problems recruiting in 5 yeas time and a need to steadily increase wages.

If pompey have blown all thier cash pre-season they will run out of wage and tax money september-october. In december , if the tax man wins the football creditors rule, everyone in football will want cash up front for players. The whole game plan will change. Player values will take a hit. In fact, are pompey still buying this seasons players on the never-never. 1 million this season, a bit more if he plays 25 games and a bit more if .... blaa blaa

If your job is a postman or a meter reader or an emergencey gas repair man there is a risk that a person like tony martin might just decide you are a burgler and shoot you. I dont totally disagree with what you are saying... however... If you are informed of the law then you won't say the wrong thing if an event like this happens...
-
Tony Martin was convicted of murder (reduced to manslaughter) because he pre-meditated the event keeping a gun ready for just that occasion and he shot the teenager in the back as he was running away. I accept the burgler could have been stabbed in the property and run out or mates carried him out.
-
I am concerned that the burgular was carried away by his mates, It implies that the incidint happend out side the home. If the danger was decreasing then then this would not be reasonable force. If the home owner had pre-armed and pre-meditated this attack this could be murder.
-
2 out of 3 released, 57 year old remains in custody
-
reasonable force.... This was not one burgler but 4. The house hold had a great level of danger from a gang of 4 burglers so a higer level of reasonable force is appropriate

7,500 season tickets@ £500= £3.75m Not much is it

If you think the speed limits are clearly signed maybe you should be going to specksavers? I proved they were not signed correctly.... and finally the courts agreed... after dropping a case because the camera partnership obtained a summons using a falsified document....
