Voted Morgan. 41 passes and a goal.

Spurs are quite right to monitor the situation. In the same way I monitor the situation of Kelly Brook. -
Great, that's him off to Liverpool then
-
I doubt that it likely being his last appearance will mean we rush him back at risk, I suspect his return will be because he's one of the best central midfielders in the league and our chances of getting something from the game increase with him playing. If he leaves, it will be interesting to see if we try to replace him with a player like him, or just go in another direction altogether in that second holding midfield slot.

Yeah - basically he is a goalscorer (and a very good one at that too) but you ask yourself how many teams play these sort of players these days and the answer is very few. I think he has a good future though. He did play some games as a Number 10 earlier this season and did ok. It all comes down to if the movement / chances / goals he gets at U21 level are the same that are scored at senior level - if so he'll be great.
-
He may well be on the bench.

Morgan vs. Newcastle. At the end of a huge passing move.

He's injured. Can't see Hull winning at all regardless.

Yeah - at a time when we didn't have a left back before we signed Bertrand on loan.

As I said, I was just challenging the suggestion that he always gives the opposition problems. I'm not a fan of Long (mainly due to his transfer fee as much as anything else) but understand what he can bring to the team. He's played for us as I expected. But some of the things he does in combination with his touch is very frustrating. He is always busy though, even if that quite often actually doesn't mean anything or bring much benefit during the game. But in the interests of fairness, he has also had some highly effective games for us too. -

Not everyone. And the suggestion was that he has caused the opposition problems whenever he has played, which isn't true is it? -

Sheffield United away immediately off the top of my head. -

When we signed him there were reports there was an agreed fee with Benfica for around 12m Euros (or something like that). I agree there are differences between Djuricic and Ramirez but there are many similarities as well. For me I wouldn't want them both in the same squad - and whilst Ramirez is definitely slower he is as creative in my opinion. -

And so is the guy we shipped out on loan at the start of the season because he wasn't deemed good enough and / or suitable for the way Koeman wants to play. Djuricic may have found opportunities a little sparse, and add that to coming to a new team and new league that makes things harder for him, but his challenge was to prove in games (and training) that he is a £9m footballer. I haven't seen him in training but based on gametime I am not convinced. You need to be productive. -

Long has had some absolute shockers as well though. He's never scored too many so I'm not going to hold that against him. At his best he is very handy, at his worst he is like playing with 10 men. In both cases he gives 100% though, so it's never a question of effort its just a question of quality and application. Shocking first touch though! -
Seager is a proper goalscorer - he has all the right instincts and 20 or so goals this season is a great return. He is a very niche player though - a bit like Hernandez at Real Madrid. Slattery is brilliant but apparently his family / agent know this too and are pushing for him to progress at Saints very quickly otherwise they are saying he could leave. That news is a year old though so not sure if anything has changed since - he's a mainstay in the U18's and has made some U21 appearances too. He's going to be one that if he makes it with Saints, he won't be around too long.

Going to be an interesting last 20mins to this game no matter what the score!

Time for Man City to get the job done...
-
Self preservation society. Far better he talk about Saints than his latest employer, QPR, where he promoted three at the back with spectacular success

Top 4 chance now gone? Europa Thoughts?

Whilst I feel confident that Man City will get the job done and win tomorrow and we will finish 7th, I can't help but feel that Villa have a better chance in the Cup Final than many are giving them. There is no doubt on paper that Arsenal should win, but Villa have given Arsenal problems down the years and Arsenal haven't always played well at Wembley. -
