  1. Simon Peach says he can't see him leaving the club
  2. Only says we've received a bid, doesn't say we've accepted it. Can't see him leaving really.
  3. The encouraging thing for me is that he clearly improved under Hughes, even if he was dreadful for most of the season
  4. I can see them struggling this season. Other teams have really strengthened but they don't seem to have really done so. Underestimate them at your peril though.
  5. The one good thing that the appointment of Pellegrino showed was how good a manager Puel really was.
  6. What if Forster doesn't want to be second choice? He's on too high wages to not be playing and we have too many players for our 25 man squad. I think I'm right in saying that Angus Gunn is young enough that he doesn't count towards it, so we need to get rid of Forster for that reason alone.
  7. December there will be lots of changes. We've been picked the lowest amount out of all 20 teams, I think Sky and BT are saving us for sure.
  8. That's a very fair and honest analysis, hard to disagree with any of that.
  9. It's more to do with the fact that we can't fit anyone else in the 25 man squad, and it'd be a waste of money to have someone on the books who can't play at all. Financially we have the means to sign players, absolutely.
  10. If you look at our December fixtures, I imagine we'll be on TV a fair bit during that month, so that's probably why the TV companies are concentrating on other teams whilst we have unattractive fixtures over those two months.
  11. Given he has four years left on his current contract, I'd say the chances of us accepting that offer are close to zero, if there is any semblance of truth to it at all. In this market, it would have to be at least double that.
  12. Targett did better at right back than he has for the entire time he's been here, so it's really no big loss to us. We can do much better really. It speaks volumes that nobody wants him.
  13. Sunday 7th October - Saints v Chelsea 2.15pm And that's it, so all of the others will remain Saturday 3pm kick offs.
  14. I see Gerrard is already complaining how everyone in Scotland hates Rangers. They really just love playing the role of victims, they really do. The rest of the country is fed up with the scousers.
  15. By all accounts, they were very fortunate to beat Luton, who played them off the park. Still, it's the sign of a good team to get results when not playing very well, so maybe this year will be their year after all... Can't see them doing well if and when they reach the Championship, that'll be the real test of Eisner's ambition. Will he spend spend spend like many teams are doing in that division?
  16. Played for Middlesbrough too when they went down. Not that good a player really, although Fulham might suit him better.
  17. I wonder who the first team player will be? James Ward-Prowse probably, got to be someone from the academy. If we lose against Burnley, things might get a bit heated. And the December and May ones will be more interesting, depending on how our season goes. Nobody really knows, at this stage, how our season will pan out.

  19. 0-0
  20. I'd rather this than lose next weekend. We've got a whole week to work hard on the training ground and prepare well for Burnley.
  21. There's still the League Cup, just got to hope that they beat their first round opponent They've dodged us for a while but I truly believe this year is our year that we finally beat them. 13 years and counting
  22. I've got Elyounoussi in, got a feeling he'll have a good season.
  23. They're a good side, we'll have to play a lot better defensively than against Celta Vigo.
  24. Benitez might have walked away before the season even starts. I reckon Huddersfield, Burnley and Palace. Got a feeling Warnock will keep Cardiff up, just.
  25. He's been poor for a while, under all three of our former managers, although under Hughes he did improve. He still can't cross though.
