  1. Portsmouth are losing, so every cloud
  2. Deary me And we've actually played quite well when we've got the ball, played some decent stuff. Can't defend though
  3. FFS That all came from Lemina being sloppy in midfield
  4. Other than the fact that he scored there in 2017 and defenders are always saying they hate playing against him. Say what you like about his current goal scoring record, it's dreadful, and that's just down to a lack of confidence. But he harries and presses defenders and causes them problems, that side of his game is still very strong.
  5. http://ripple.is/football/3283-liverpool-vs-southampton Ripple is normally pretty good
  6. 8-0-2 probably, and that's when we attack 10-0-0 for most of the match
  7. Pace up front, lots of long balls over the top, if we can actually get hold of the ball. Hold out for 80 minutes, throw on Austin and we'll nick it 1-0 with the final kick of the game, a tactical masterstroke by Hughes to ensure that there's no time left for our defence to throw it away.
  8. Summer
  9. Had a quick look on RAWK, most of them think they'll win 4-0, 5-0 or even 6-0. They don't like Mark Hughes much (understandable given he is a United boy) and are very glad Ings can't play. I have a bad feeling about tomorrow, I'll watch it but I don't think it'll be pleasant viewing.
  10. Hexagon
  11. Whatever happens this season, it's all looking like it'll be their most successful since the club was founded, they've never been as high as they are now in their history. Must be nice for such a young club.
  12. Inspired them to promotion, all on a shoestring budget. They haven't really improved their squad though this season, shoe-ins for relegation.
  13. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/sep/19/liverpool-virgil-van-dijk-want-win-it-all-our-mindset?CMP=twt_gu He hasn't watched a lot of us this season obviously.
  14. I reckon we'll go three at the back, Yoshida to come in for one of the strikers, Ings presumably. Long up front with Redmond to lead our counter attacking charge, if we are able to get hold of the ball. Lemina and Hojbjerg should be decent in midfield, I'd be tempted to drop Elyounoussi and have Romeu in there too.
  15. Exactly this, Romeu was sensational under the guidance of a world class manager but he's been poor since. Gabbiadini too. Cedric has been poor forever although under Hughes he's probably playing as well as he has done since he's been here, which is encouraging. Redmond as well.
  16. Stoke finished consistently in the top half under Hughes, it was only the last season or two where things went tits up. And even then, had Stoke not sacked him they would have stayed up, they only won what twice was it after he left? Same amount we won in the couple of months he was here at the end of the season. We need a bit of consistency on the footballing side of things, meanwhile our anger should be directed at the board.
  17. Media going on about another special European night at Anfield. Vomit inducing stuff.
  18. What's that got to do with us conceding last minute goals?
  19. Can't be long before Corporate Ho comes back
  20. Never in a million years will it ever happen, and rightfully so.
  21. NO NO NO This is not the place for rational thinking and intelligent footballing comments such as yours.
  22. Nail on the head. Although some people on here still seem to think we have a squad capable of competing with the very best in this league.
  23. We did it relatively successfully at home to Man City (yes it was the final day and they weren't on top form but did have something to play for) and lost 3-0 under Pellegrino in what was one of our worst performances under him. I reckon we'll do better up there this time, although the result will likely remain the same. Does anyone know if Ings is allowed to play? He is on loan for this season so I assume not.
  24. We're scoring more goals, we're definitely a better attacking force. Defensively, the same issues remain from Pellegrino's disastrous period, and I believe the players are mentally weak. Things like that take time to sort out. We won't go down, we'll finish lower mid half of the table probably, but it's progress... of some sort.
