From what I have asked of Juventus fans on another forum, he was mediocre and didn't play particularly well. Therefore, when a club likes us come in and gives them a profit, they were happy to do a deal.

This has nothing to do with his family at all. He already earns mega money that allows him and his family to live a life of luxury. An extra 100k a week won't change that.
Nobody on here begrudges a player's ambition and their desire to compete at the highest level, but others have done that in a way that is respectful to his current employer.
