  1. Wah wah wah, against modern football, wah wah wah TV is king, get used to it.
  2. I miss the days when the Portsmouth News did live webchats. http://www2.portsmouth.co.uk/cp/pompey-webchats/events/08052013.html This one from Micah Hall is a highlight 12:42 Comment From PFC Tom Is it true you get all your information on PFC from SaintsWeb? 12:42 Micah Hall: Yes, they are boring aren't they! There are some great comments in there
  3. Done. Some interesting questions there. Normally when someone posts a survey for a dissertation, the questions are terrible. But you asked some good questions. I hope my responses are of some use to your work.
  4. The reason 3pm games aren't shown has nothing to do with Premier League games, they know very well that attendances would hardly be affected. But attendances at lower league clubs would be affected, and they depend on gate receipts far more than PL teams do.
  5. Sunderland are up there as well, they certainly have a higher wage bill then we do. Shows what good leadership can do for a club, and what bad leadership can do also!
  6. Unless they spend wisely in the summer, League 1 might be a bit of a struggle for them next season. I'm beginning to hope they go up, it'll make things much more interesting. Seeing them in League 2 is a bit boring now.
  7. I think that's unlikely. Even if he does make a full recovery before the end of the season, I imagine he'll play in an U23 game first. So hopefully we'll get some indication of his return
  8. Cook goes from zero to hero
  9. Forren joins Brighton http://www.seagulls.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/brighton-hove-albion-vegard-forren-3613571.aspx
  10. They've got a massive game at Crawley tonight. Win and they go into the top 3.
  11. West Ham 0-2 Chelsea at the moment, so it looks like we're staying in the top half
  12. Caceres looks like a class outfit. He and Yoshida will I think form an effective defensive partnership, until VVD comes back.
  13. Lol at this line We know another club who supposedly have 'passionate fans'. It seems like thuggery and hooliganism class as 'passion' these days. All utter b*llcks. We know it was the money José, we're not mugs. We'll be a better and stronger side with him gone.
  14. Their big day out to the House of Commons on Monday should be fun for them. Literally millions of coaches (caravans) packed with the Pompey faithful will be heading up the A3 to see them collect this historic trophy.
  15. It was back in 1976. We actually scored at least four goals in three consecutive away matches, two league matches and a European match in between. 5th October - Wolves 2-6 Southampton (Division 2) 20th October - Carrick Rangers 2-5 Southampton (Cup Winners Cup) 23rd October - Luton 1-4 Southampton (Division 2)
  16. 3-2 in the end I think we can rule out 0-0 when we go to WHL
  17. I hope that we're setting our sites higher than Stoke rejects I personally prefer the Napoli rejects
  18. Where on earth do we fit Charlie Austin in when he comes back from injury? And surely J Rod's time here is up?
  19. The major difference is we haven't spent £40 odd million on Stephens. And Stephens is only in the team because of injuries.
  20. No, I'm not ITK on the matter, but I don't believe the club would've given him the armband if he was going to be off in the summer. It wouldn't make much sense.
  21. http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/pompey-named-south-west-wales-checkatrade-community-club-of-the-year-3598591.aspx Another trophy they've won. And a trip out to the House of Commons too! I wonder if Penny will make an appearance...
  22. He had to give his commitment to the club until at least 2018 before being given the captain's armband. So yes, he will stay.
  23. Sam grove‏ @SamThefridge82 we've heard it all before I'm afraid. Massive opportunity wasted this past week.#anotherseasoninleague2 #pompey Thomas Hember‏ @ThomasHember Embarrassing day to be #Pompey Ineptitude of the performance matched only by the so-called "support" from large sections of the crowd. sam moody‏ @sammoody88 Load of ********. Cook out #Pompey Brenda Hutchins‏ @Brenda_Hutchin #pompey that was an awful game. Left early it was so bad! Haven't done that it a while andrew johnston‏ @pompeyaj1 i'm not a happy clapper but did boo go home early and i did clap them at the end when they came out #pompey Jake‏ @JakeG_58 Heard someone say "I'm certainly going to tell those players what I thought about that when I get on Twitter tonight" #Pompey Marcus‏ @marcushumphreys Never normally agree with booing but if there was one game it was warranted then it was that, beyond atrocious. #Pompey MrFinlayW‏ @MrFinlayW @ExpressFM #pompey Is cook signing players that were in form 3 years ago at chesterfield going to be our downfall? Will Chitty‏ @w_chitty #Pompey poor today but crowd created toxic atmosphere that inhibits players and make it worse. Boo boys stay away. DVC‏ @CrouchyD Cook telling the players to get off the pitch at the end - Love him or loathe him that was VERY disrespectful! #Pompey
  24. I don't think we'll catch Everton, but finishing in 8th would constitute an excellent end to the season. Another two week break, hopefully Caceres will be fit by then and Millwall cause a few injuries to Tottenham's main attacking forwards
