People would be moaning if we were playing exciting football every week but lost. Style of football is irrelevant.
-
And now their captain is jumping ship too
-
Hopefully we'll see the Puel side that put four past Sunderland and Watford in consecutive matches We've been decent away from home, so that's in our favour. Anything other than a win would be a poor result. The players need to up their game. Hopefully there will be considerable 'rotation' for this match.
-
I'm still maintaining that two wins will be enough for us to get 8th. Where we get them from is another matter...
-
I agree, but they have better players than us. We should beat a Middlesbrough side that is already relegated, no ifs, no buts.
-
You see, if we lose at Middlesbrough, I'll forgive such a reaction. But against Arsenal? Come on, pull yourself together. Sick and tired of our weak fan base.
-
I'll wait until the Middlesbrough game. I still maintain that the players have let him down though.
-
Hmmmmm On the one hand, part of me is saying, it is against Arsenal, they're a good side, and they're probably (annoyingly for us) playing their best football of the season. On the other hand, another game, another game where we haven't scored... First half was OK, second half not good at all. We need to beat Middlesbrough.
-
Tadic - please drop him.

Arsenal fan in a Southampton pub this evening... Anyone know which one it is?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39869485 And so it begins... I give it 6 months before Cook resigns

Saints: 5th least incompetent team in the league
Pamplemousse replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Marco Silva, he's just what we need. Errrrrr... -
Pluto always has been a bit of a drama queen. Like the planet itself, best to ignore and forget all about him.
-
That's almost as bad as the Bertrand Puel fight rumours
-
West Ham came in with a stupidly high offer for him though. When you've got two people as stupid as Gold and Sullivan, you're not going to turn them down.
-
The thread title was tongue in cheek, I was just trying to add some drama into the last remaining fixtures But, it is important from a financial point of view to finish as high as possible. And 8th would also match where Pochettino ended up.
-
As it stands, a total of 8 clubs can finish in 8th position Here are each team's remaining games West Bromwich Albion 45 points Chelsea (H) - 12/05 Man City (A) - 16/05 Swansea (A) - 21/05 Leicester City 43 points Man City (A) - 13/05 Tottenham (H) - 18/05 Bournemouth (H) - 21/05 Southampton 42 points Arsenal (H) - 10/05 Middlesbrough (A) - 13/05 Man Utd (H) - 17/05 Stoke (H) - 21/05 Bournemouth 42 points Burnley (H) - 13/05 Leicester (A) - 21/05 West Ham United 42 points Liverpool (H) - 14/05 Burnley (A) - 21/05 Stoke City 41 points Arsenal (H) - 13/05 Southampton (A) - 21/05 Burnley 40 points Bournemouth (A) - 13/05 West Ham (H) - 21/05 Watford 40 points Everton (A) - 12/05 Chelsea (A) - 15/05 Man City (H) - 21/05 --------------------------------- West Brom and Leicester above us have some nasty games. I can't see West Brom picking up anymore points in all honesty, especially if Swansea on the final day still need points to guarantee safety. Leicester are in good form but have some tough matches - against Bournemouth you'd expect them to win. I included Watford because mathematically they could reach 8th but looking at those fixtures, probably not! Personally, I think two wins will be enough for us to claim 8th. This is my prediction Southampton - 48 points Leicester - 46 points West Brom - 45 points Bournemouth - 45 points West Ham - 43 points Stoke - 41 points Burnley - 41 points Watford - 40 points

Don't think he can
-
They thought the likes of Neil Warnock would join them when they were in League 2, so god knows who they think would drop down to League 1 Of course, we got a very good calibre of manager in Pardew and Adkins (for where we were at that time in comparison to their stature) so no doubt they will want to attract someone bigger and better. Meanwhile, there is something of an exodus going on down there. Enda Stevens, apparently their best player, is of to Sheffield United. More to follow
-
Tadic needs to be dropped.
-
It all fits into their inferiority complex I wonder what the new owners will do with Paul Cook. Surely if they are going to progress, they'll need a better manager.
-
People not renewing their season tickets, the way they're going on, you'd think we were in a relegation battle
-
If we draw them in one of the cups next season, just show that video to our players.

That's because journalists are lazy and will put two and two together and get five. Why don't you try being a bit more positive? It can't be good for your own well-being to be so negative constantly. I worry for you.
