  1. Top trolling by the Mayor of Southampton
  2. Utter, utter rubbish We were on the backfoot for most of the home game. And they didn't name a weakened team by any stretch. 2nd leg, we defended superbly. A little bit of luck, but also a lot of effort and superb defending. The only match against them where we got lucky was the home league game, 0-0, where really we were lucky to keep a clean sheet. Tactically, Puel has outsmarted Klopp, at least in the cup matches. For what it's worth, we will be the underdog against Sunday, and if we get a point, it'll be a superb result. But we seem to be their bogey side currently.
  3. Three game against them this season, three clean sheets and two victories Not to mention we seem to play better away from home these days
  4. It raise a slight chuckle, I'll admit
  5. I don't want this to be a thread about the players you think we'll sell, but rather, which players do you WANT to go this summer? For me - Martina definitely. Gardos too. Isgrove I imagine will leave. All three not good enough. I wouldn't be too upset if we sold Long or J Rod either. We need strikers who can score. Gallagher back from a good spell at Blackburn would be better than an obviously demoralised J Rod. I'd like to see Clasie and Hojbjerg stay, I think they can improve still. And Reed probably needs a loan spell away somewhere, but I still think he could offer something in the future.
  6. I must admit, I was half tempted to start a similar thread and see if it would get any bites. Alas, SKD, you did this far too soon after the previous one.
  7. BBC Solent Sport‏ @solentsport Have your questions answered by @Michael_Eisner at the @PompeyTrust shareholders meeting @PortsmouthGhall #Pompey Email to askeisner@pompeytrust.com Come on nutjobs, I'm sure we can come up with a few I wonder if a certain Trevor Oast will be emailing in?
  8. They've got an outside chance of winning the league next week
  9. I saw one moron on Twitter saying he wanted David Moyes  That's the level of intelligence we're dealing with here folks.
  10. The odd missed one you can forgive, but he has missed too many now. Drop him, or get Rickie Lambert to do some drills with him. JWP has never missed for us, right?
  11. Instant Classic is the only one posting anything intelligent. Everyone else is posting the same old rubbish.
  12. Thank god this forum isn't remotely representative of what the real fans think. What a laughing stock this place has become.
  13. I do think our fanbase is abnormally thicker than others, I really do. Some fans don't realise how lucky we are.
  14. They only got a point because of Tadic. We were very, very poor, and we still almost managed to somehow win it.
  15. They were in a relegation battle though, they had little option really but to change the manager. Let's say that this is Puel's worst season with us. Not that bad for a 'terrible season' - a (probable) top half finish, a cup final, and with a whole host of injuries (I know I keep repeating that fact but it is true, and we have been unfortunate in that regard, more than other teams). As long as there is a real improvement next season, and we're fighting higher up the table, then I think most will be happy. If it doesn't look like we're progressing, or we're going backwards, then that's the time to make the change.
  16. We finished 6th after 2 seasons of the same manager! Remember, half of you lot a month ago thought we were in a relegation battle Just see what happens next season. If there isn't any improvement then yes, that's when to get worried. And I'd like to think that we'll be battling for European places.
  17. All of this is irrelevant anyway. We're not going to sack Puel at all, not for likely finishing in the top half of the table. I'd like to know why so many on here are giving the players an easy ride. There's only so much a manager can do. I think a few too many of our fans have delusions of grandeur. We can be a top team in this division, but we're not at the moment. And it's not going to happen by sacking the manager. Swansea have changed their manager loads and now look... they're in the relegation zone.
  18. Why the hell would you want Marco Silva? With 10 minutes to go, he made two defensive substitutions when we were there for the taking. And they went and conceded a penalty. A better manager would've won that for Hull IMO.
  19. We scored twice against Chelsea, so we can play against the big boys. Maybe the players just can't motivate themselves to play against the poor teams. We've beaten Liverpool twice already this season, and they haven't scored against us yet this season. We're a bit of a bogey team.
  20. We're probably going to finish either 8th or 9th... Pochettino's best finish for us was 8th, why weren't people screaming for him to go then? Remember, we lost at home to a relegated Cardiff that season, amongst other poor results. I blame the players on the pitch myself.
  21. To be fair to Long, he did more than Gabbiadini did. Although I don't blame Gabbiadini, because the service to him was dreadful.
  22. You watch, after this we'll go and beat Liverpool
  23. The second half was at least an improvement on the first Can Tadic please not take a penalty ever again?
  24. I think there is a lack of effort, or rather, Hull want it more than us. But I agree, we need an extra CM in there.
