  1. Lallana being better than Messi?
  2. On POL, one fan dares to challenge the myth of their world-famous atmosphere
  3. It has to be done. What he has achieved since joining us has been nothing sort of sensational.
  4. Fonte's first meeting with the new staff will be interesting...
  5. I think it's OK to be worried, to a certain extent. It's a new regime, and we don't quite know how that will unfold. On the other hand, we should also be excited. We've got European football, and hopefully some new signings in the coming weeks.
  6. I will have nothing better to do We already know some of the teams that will definitely be in the group stages - so far there are a lovely cluster of teams in Western Europe with only three a bit further afield. We'll also want to keep an eye on the Champions League qualifying draw and the 3rd round, because it's at that stage when the losing teams enter the Europa League.
  7. That reads like one of rallyboys mock posts on here. But it appears to be the real thing. Perhaps rallyboy IS Allen
  8. Llandudlo got knocked out, lost 7-1 in the end. Connah's Quay Nomads, also from Wales, surprisingly beat their Norwegian opposition. They were the (joint) lowest ranking team along with a team from Gibraltar who also are in the 2nd qualifying round. 2nd qualifying round is next week and the week after Dinamo Minsk v St Patrick's Athletic Vojvodina v Connah's Quay Nomads Hibernian v Brøndby Birkirkara v Hearts Aberdeen v Ventspils BK Häcken v Cork City Cliftonville v AEK Larnaca AIK v Europa FC And we want the following teams to lose, because they have a higher co-efficient than us: Genk Maribor Maccabi Tel Aviv Austria Wien Partizan The third qualifying round draw is next Friday, where more of the bigger teams enter, as do West Ham.
  9. Was he released by Man City or did we have to pay a fee for him?
  10. It was a testimonial for one of their players
  11. The above quote is from a skate, but is parodying those who weren't happy with their plucky 3-3 win. According to POL, people were threatening not to buy season tickets.
  12. I will be queuing up in immigration at JFK. Terrific timing.
  13. If anyone deserves to be added to the banner, it's Fonte
  14. Out of the British and Irish teams, St Patrick's and Hearts are both through. The rest of the matches conclude tomorrow.
  15. Interesting that Juventus and Ajax were learning off us, as well as major US teams from other sports
  16. Some people have to moan, and some in this thread are trolling. Me, I think it's very nice. I especially like the away kit.
  17. A better translation of the article
  18. I'm surprised another club in blue didn't reply, spouting their history, boasting of their most passionest bestest fan base, etc. etc.
  19. Hopefully physically with a full pre-season behind him, he'll be back to his best. Of course, there is always the mental aspect to overcome too. If he can start scoring goals on a regular basis then hopefully he will regain his confidence. I think that is the biggest battle.
  20. Reposting it so I can compare the two
  21. Perhaps it will be released at a later date, and when we know who our three opponents will be. There'll be no point in having a third kit if it clashes and we have to wear our usual away kit
  22. So does this mean that The9 can now start the 17-18 kit thread?
  23. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.
  24. I actually don't mind it. The previous two seasons' kits have been practically identical, and I like that it has a bit more white on it than usual.
  25. That does look pretty spot on
