  1. I think with or without Europa League, we are a striker light (and perhaps a couple more too). Maybe we were in for players and it didn't work out for some reason. Who knows. We'll see in January anyway what we do.
  2. I know you didn't say that, but a positive reaction is better than a negative one. For some reason this season, I haven't really been bothered about the Europa League games. After our summer dealings, I knew we didn't really have the squad to deal with it adequately. Hopefully in January we can bring a couple of players in and rectify that.
  3. So you'd prefer a negative reaction? I disagree about us not playing in Europe again. We'll be there sooner than you think. Maybe not this season (unless we win the EFL Cup).
  4. Two bad results and performances aren't enough to worry me that much. If we don't win on Sunday or in any of the away games at Stoke and Bournemouth then that is the time to be concerned that there is a serious problem. As it so happens, I think there will be a positive reaction from the players and manager. And hopefully we will sign a striker in January!
  5. Our home form is pretty good. Still, the only team that has beaten us in 2016 is Chelsea. I think Middlesbrough will try and play for a point. We need a fast start and a goal early on.
  6. Smashed by who? The same team who smashed Burnley and Bournemouth? A month is a long time in football.
  7. I did laugh, I must admit. Roy Hodsgon's available. Any takers...?
  8. Who says he's unambitious? He named arguably the strongest line up we've named so far. The players didn't perform. Yes, we need more than just a striker. Meanwhile, we are two games away from a Wembley final. Sure, after tonight's performance it's hard to imagine us winning. But Liverpool have lost to Burnley and Bournemouth (and didn't score against us), so we have to keep positive.
  9. It is obvious that we lack a threat up front. We need a striker, that is the absolute minimum in January.
  10. Nope, not at all. Tonight is disappointing but there are a lot of reasons to still be positive about the upcoming season.
  11. I'm sure Bournemouth fans were thinking the same last week.
  12. Nobody wants Stoke's players cos they're crap. Bournemouth have a good team with decent team spirit but they are short of quality (hence why they managed to lose to West Ham!) We will finish above these teams with ease.
  13. So we're out of the Europa League? Big deal. EFL Cup semi-final to look forward to. Some people need to just cheer up. I'd rather be a Saints fan right now then a whole host of other teams. Perspective.
  14. Someone has to be a happy clapper Nah I reckon there will be a big reaction and we will win comfortably. Middlesbrough will come for a point.
  15. Go on then. Who do you want? Redknapp? Adkins? Strachan?
  16. Middlesbrough are rubbish. 3-0 home win, easy.
  17. Then you need to get some perspective. Tonight is disappointing, I agree, and the performance was not good enough. But we are in a cup semi-final and our league form (hopefully) will improve. There are still many things to be positive about. Sacking the manager won't help things at all. Who on earth is out there that could do a better job?
  18. Let's not forget that crap display at Midtjylland last season At least we actually drew this game rather than lost #progress
  19. Only those who can see the bigger picture will understand that Puel is a good coach and we will do well this season. Their goal came from an individual mistake. How on earth is that Puel's fault? The players let him down tonight. Before the game, everyone wanted a strong team and he named a strong team. We controlled possession and dominated the game. They didn't look like scoring before Romeu gave it to their player for the goal.
  20. Only people with very low intelligence levels or trolls will call for Puel's head.
  21. Exactly! This is hardly a new situation for us. Those calling for Puel's head are either very simple or trolling.
  22. A month is a long time in football.
  23. And for those who want Koeman back... Everton have won once in ten matches! And they're only playing in one competition at the moment. When it works for us, it works well (as the match at Arsenal demonstrated). So keep the faith guys. We will finish in the top half and we have a cup semi-final to look forward to. Tonight is disappointing but we will march on.
  24. Nice fans must've hated that 4th place. Puel is a good manager but we are obviously lacking in the attacking department and that is probably the fault of Les Reed. The stats speak for themselves - we lack goals. We need a striker and an attacking midfielder. We got into numerous positions which were good for us but it all broke down in the final third. BUY A STRIKER PLEASE LES REED. PLEASE!
  25. They must have hated reaching Champions League semi final.
