  1. Interesting rumours about Cook. I can't work out if the spelling error 'herd' is intentional or not Apparently, a 'source' suggests he has 2 games to save his job! And the bestest fans in the world have set up a crowdfunding page to fund Paul Cook's fine for not playing a proper team in the EFL Trophy. It's at 2% so they don't need too much more, given the club's record on paying all debts in full. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/Paul-Cook-Fund
  2. Interestingly, Dundalk are playing their game at the Aviva Stadium. They played their previous match at a smaller stadium but also in Dublin, so it would be interesting to see what stadium they use if they do drop down to the Europa League. At least we would get plenty of tickets if we drew Dundalk at the Aviva Stadium
  3. Close this thread, they said. There would be nothing more to laugh at, they said.
  4. What is 'gaining weight' is the 'theory' of him not leaving for another 6 months
  5. He seems like a Saints type of signing although do we really need another winger?
  6. They did promise the fans they would get out of this division
  7. The comments on twitter are generally along the lines of "How are we losing to this pub team/shower of sh!t/team like Morecambe?"
  8. Who's the biggest fishy club in English football? Southend? Doesn't matter, Pompey will claim the title anyway
  9. If the transfer window was shut and we hadn't invested then I think it would be justified to be concerned. But, there is plenty of time yet and hopefully we will make reinforcements. There is no value in this transfer window, and I'd rather we waited to get a good deal then splash over £20 million on an average player like Everton and West Ham have done.
  10. Certainly one of the more amusing trolls, although he's a bit too obvious. The subtler the better for me.
  11. The referee is Anthony Taylor, the same one in the Chelsea v West Ham match atm
  12. Anyone know how much we sold him for?
  13. They worked out what the problem was ages ago, it's an FA/EFL/Sky conspiracy.
  14. If it's true that we're holding firm then that's good news. Fonte can either accept the club's decision and focus on the football or throw his toys out of the pram and ruin his reputation amongst our fans. The ball is in our court though. If Man Utd want him that badly then they can pay for it, £20M would do.
  15. I hope we provide a better test than Bournemouth have done
  16. Man Utd have loads of money, anything less than £20M is an insult. If they want him that much than they can pay it, no problem.
  17. I will be on a plane over the Atlantic when we play so I hope I arrive stateside to news of a Saints victory
  18. It's the same people over and over again. There's nothing wrong with being critical and there is plenty to be critical about. But they're just fishing for a reaction.
  19. The usual trolls are out in force. It's best not to bite, just ignore derry and saint lard, they're trying to wind you up.
  20. I think there are more positives than negatives to take from this match, particularly the second half. Cedric was awful, midfield improved when Hojbjerg came on and Pied looked lively. Austin should've come on earlier.
  21. It'll be interesting to see how we do on Friday against a team who doesn't park the bus.
  22. Pied did more when he came on than Cedric in the entire match, who had an absolute shocker
  23. I'd put Austin on. We lack a focal point up front. Hojberg on too. We improved as the game went on, hopefully we can pull it back. To be fair, Watford have defended very well so far.
  24. I agree, I look at the side and I'm feeling positive. If it doesn't work then moan after the match but the team is being written off before we've even started
  25. Their big money signing Success is out injured
