  1. Ah sorry got confused, stand by the Hoillett view but Mackie could be an interesting one at 3.5m.
  2. Wouldn't be surprised if QPR are paying him a top earner at the club wage, opposed to a within a budget wage everyone else would have been offering (his agent is his dad who I think is similar to Chamberlain's but pushier). Lots of potential but wouldn't be worth breaking the budget for a player who isn't at that level yet just to have him ahead of the competition.
  3. Quality! Nice to see Murty is still about too
  4. Bah can't edit Block 36, row DD seat 127 at an unfocused push.
  5. Block 40, row DD, seat a guess of 36 Either way that's pretty cool and a sensible solution for the great man. Dishing out free one's isn't really the most sensible thing for the club as it'll be too hard to draw the line for who does and doesn't get one (sadly).
  6. Israel's finest player (at least on FM) No point in signing him though (unless we really do like throwing money at scottish football)
  7. Poor choice of language on my part, every action of the SPL and SFA have been to try and accept that Rangers have done wrong/need punishment but with a solution that leaves the old firm intact. This has been entirely because neither organisation see any money in the game without the old firm which is just a dull waste of time (and shows their complete lack of business sense). It's very frustrating to watch as this has been one massive waste of time with neither Scottish authority showing any authority of the situation. FIFA need to turn up quickly and tell them to pack it in or loose more European places, the only good threat left but should have the desired effect. Hopefully, we shouldn't really be giving them money at all, especially as Rangers can't now withdraw their objection and SFA investigation into the change of registration. Could be a moment to charge interest on the cash...
  8. It appears we still don't have his registration as the Rangers mess hasn't been cleared up (as the SFA are so inept they haven't sorted out their division 3 place 3 weeks before the season starts). We've given them some money to get the hell on with letting us have our new player but it seems this is one of those situations throwing money hasn't worked (as the SFA are just retarded and are still fighting to make cash out of Rangers and get them up a league or two). Hopefully in a week or so FIFA will turn up with a firing squad and sort this nonsense out, we all can see Rangers are trying to retain registration for players they no longer have contracted to try and worm their way back into better parts of scottish football and magic money they don't deserve. The quicker FIFA act with the boot of oppression the better for everyone.
  9. Maradona got sacked recently, I'm sure he's still got a bit of the old flair in the bag for the less physical prem...
  10. Amazingly everyone is entitled to their own opinions and are entitled to express them. It is laughable that people are willing to run to this mess of a players defence because 1 in 20 of his performances are just about championship standard that suddenly he's got a chance to actually be a decent prem player. His problems appear to come form attitude, it's been half a year since he's been allowed back into the first team properly and has made very few appearances. Genuinely think this is down to him just not being good enough opposed to some magical attitude change. His performances when he was given a chance in the season just were not good enough to justify a starting place (or quite often a spot on the bench) so I don't see why he should be seen as some sort of magical answer just because he's got his wish and is contracted to a prem club. Might well be back up to the first team squad over the year (as he was last year) but I don't see a future at the club for him and it's a bit pointless wasting our time.
  11. Most of us seem to be blindly forgetting how utterly useless he was after his first 2 games after coming back from QPR and apologising. He didn't feature most of the run in because he was shocking, away at West Ham he didn't track back and was caught in possession by 10 man West Ham constantly. Even in his cameo appearance against Coventry he looked monumentally off the pace at 4-0. Not a prem starter in anyone sensible books (Holloway can have him though), get rid as fast as possible as he's just going to be causing more problems than his pace is ever worth.
  12. Oh it's defiantly worth the hassle for us! Just no idea why the SFA are dragging their heels and wasting our time over this.
  13. At the time of the signing Rangers hadn't protested the clearance of their transfer, so he (under the best legal assumption) was under the impression there should be no problem. Bloody stupid of the old Rangers to protest when they have no leg to stand on and are just taking advantage of the SFA's blinding inability to do anything whilst their pet club shows up what a mess Scottish football is. We'll be able to play him come August 19th because FIFA got involved at the start of the week demanding to know what all the fuss is about, so the SFA could risk fines and penalties of their own if they don't sort it out or at least respond to the letter by next monday. (A part of me see's the champions league berths being taken away from the spl if they don't sort it out soon)
  14. But what have we learnt about FC Groningen?? They make everyone playing for and against them look like Messi...
  15. Basically this is what Zaha should be to command that £7m price tag.... Youtube makes him look very very good and he sounds like he'll sort out the right side of midfield. It's all coming up Millhouse!
  16. Didn't Butterfield do that when he signed a few years ago so he played in the final friendly in Switzerland... (so I would expect anyone to sign whilst the team is away to get the same choice)
  17. All 5 of them are distinctly average. Mariappa has played over 200 games for Watford, if he really was prem quality he would have left Watford by now. Guthrie needs games to show what level he really is at, but didn't impress at Newcastle with plenty of squad space to claim the midfield as his own (before last season). McCleary and Gunter have both been champ players in a mess of a club, lots to prove but again have been around a while with little interest which makes me wonder what the point of them signing is (other than Readings champ team was a bit of a flash in the pan). Finally Pavel Pogrebnyak is the very definition of a mercenary in football, quite clearly rates him self as the next biggest thing and should be on a club breaking wage because of it. So honestly none of the signings Reading have made have been all that exciting and if they had been ours I doubt there would be any optimism to try and stay up at all. Rodriguez and Davis between them look much better/more sensible choices so far.
  18. How?? He's a very good player that has really developed into a part of the team. Adkins has made it clear that building up a team as a collective unit is more important than just buying "stars" because we can so making sure he's about for the prime of his career is important for everyone involved. He's a good player that scored and set up some valuable goals last year, leaving him in a situation where in 12 months he could leave on a free when he's played such a good part of the team so far would be far far more bizarre.
  19. Brilliant! Hooiveld is a ridiculously good signing and some of the assists from the team made me smile so much. Only real question is where did the confident and dangerous De Ridder go after november, seemed he just lost the magic sadly.
  20. First and last games of last season. First thinking good god this is could well be your year, then guly setting up the first against cov to round it off
  21. Tribunal probably will wack on a massive sell on clause when we could just negotiate a sensible one. That or we are playing the market of players game properly and not just stealing kids off teams with no regard for the original club (ensuring better future deals). Doubt the tribunal will settle for 500k anyway, seems a harsh undervaluing.
  22. YouTube makes him look better than he did both times we played palace and more promising for the attacking full back thing Adkins likes. Hopefully he's cheap enough and turns out to be the best/most realistic rb signing for us
  23. Every single sodding trip to Swindon, single worst place in the country with just nothing in it, loads of poor performances, hateful place that I will keep to the vow (this time) never to go back too. Tranmere away during the last season in L1 was ok, lots of cheap drink and no one unreasonable around the place. Charlton being frozen off was a pain, especially as I felt the ref just wanted to spend boxing day in the bath.
  24. It's approaching lunching so he's definitely hungry
  25. Ooops missed the twitter rumour stand by with waste of time signing, our reserves team don't need a captain and our physio might get really into interior decorating to make his work space a place people want to be...
