Non-League clubs are not included in the survey (says at the top) so there's one or two odd ones like that with Luton stuck in the conference till they sort it out.... Glad MK Dons are still considered one of the most offensive clubs in the country, really not a fan of them kicking about my home town.

It is horrible, bring back the sash.

If we go down we can completely **** the champ next year. Then again we have more than enough in the squad not to get relegated provided we don't let our heads drop with the results so far. Adkins has one massive thing in his favour and that is a blind positivity that clearly rubs off on the players. If we are rock bottom and miles off in january, thats when wetting the bed can commence, not till then! (and really covers post transfer window results too)

Sheffield Wednesday ticket details (+ Everton,Fulham & WHU details)

Not really, the system could probably accredit the 700 odd of us who went to stevenage by getting the order information from stevenage and updating the database accordingly, but it is a lot of hassle for a small proportion of the fan base (though quite a large number of people on saints web). Shame as I would like a better chance for a West Ham ticket than just season ticket + arsenal, but its just how it goes and its the same rules for everyone. -
Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan
pingwing replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Except against Wigan for the last 15 mins he made categorically no impact on the game. As hard it is to accept he was our 4/5th choice buy last Christmas and is goin to have basically the same fate as Maynard and baldock, will be sold back to the champ where teams can be built around because his game isn't big enough for how we want to play. -
I see irony and flaws in this blog...

Puts into perspective how poor a signing Forte was?? I thought common consensus was the kids who did the half time lap against United could have smashed a hattrick each past Forecast....
-
He very badly needs games (more so than Sharp) doubt very much he will be a long term part of the club, shame as he was important in L1 but that's how it goes.
-
Bullet dodged. Should run a sweepstake on how many game minutes he gets this season...
-
You only needed the diagram to explain that one! Nothing worse than seeing him completely out of position for no clear reason other than he just doesn't quite know what he is doing.
-
Think you've been mixing up De Ridder with GR... GR is on int duty, De Ridder is coming back from a knock (according to the fantasy prem information)
-
What attributes? Has he just been collecting numbers off phones pretending these are his FM stats??
-
So is Ricardo Gardner, I'm sure we could get a few games of fitness out of him and then get him into a random backroom job picking out the best central american kids of the academy...
-
Yes he has he played CB against Stevenage.... He wasn't very good as CB, it was like having 2 right backs on the pitch and Seaborne being some sort of sweeper with no defensive line in front of him. Thankfully Stevenages forwards weren't all that.

If Cork isn;t fit yet that is what we should do! Maybe give Yoshi a go instead of Fonte but only maybe...
-
Cool Morg has been everywhere for the first 3 games, that's been very impressive. JWP is also on the been everywhere stats for the United game. Looks like if we give it a few more games we will get into our stride more!

Little moments like that are what make going to football magical.

Nope mine hasn't turned up in the post yet.

I believe it to be referred to as the premature ejaculation formation, full of all out potential, could score 8-9 goals with no one knowing what to do in the face of it, but let down by a complete lack of a follow through for the long game, leaving everyone involved with an all round feeling of disappointment and no motivation to work on the basics once we concede the 11th goal.
-
Yep and subsequently Nani encountered exactly the same problem of what to do against Schneiderlin. One of his best games so far and great for him to get a goal! This I like!
-
In our revolutionary 1-2-2-2-4 formation, Lambert, Del Piero, Rodriguez and Lee packing out their box with Lallana and Gaston tracking back either wings. Leaves Steven and Morg to mess about in the middle sit in front of the defence and pass into the big space. Then we have Jos and the new guy able to go wide with morg tacking back between them as a back 3. Super Kelvin will be bitten by a radioactive spider and use his new super powers to dominate the goal line.

Well put. I don't think it will ever wash with some people that the Southampton way will make us one of the best in the league, on reflection it is annoying we lost yesterday but because we could of and should of won, against Manchester United! (who are the most successful team since the creation of the premier league in the prem and lost the title last year on goal difference). That feeling wouldn't happen with other newly promoted teams. It is weird but an exciting feeling that we are, above all else, trying to do it right, we are here to win games, so listening to the "just play it safe and come 17th attitude" of some fans is almost depressing.

Well not that the focus was wrong, we sold Harding and clearly showed intention to buying someone to replace/upgrade the LB options but that fell through. Loaning Sharp out clearly was a case of Forest would like to loan you, you can see the pecking order at the club, do you want to go out and get games or bench it here? He's probably not happy that he has been told he's 4th/5th choice in a system that doesn't suit him and chosen first team. It's not a case of being unattentive, there is a clear worry over Fox but whinging on about it would do nothing for his performances or confidence and would be horribly unprofessional from the club. A LB will be signed in January, but it will be the right LB for the club, not who ever we could get in a hurry, we aren't run by 'Arry logic any more.

Spend 12m on one of the hottest prospects going forward at the moment, or over spend on someone like scott dann who is no better than fonte in the first place. Judgement should be reserved to when we see Gaston play but we cannot waste money over spending on average players on the off chance it helps. 6m for Buttland is a joke (going on his league performances so far), 6m for Dann is an even bigger joke seeing how poor he has been. 6m on a currently injured Martin Ollson wouldn't have helped in the opening few games. Gordon released for a good reason and isn't an upgrade to Kelvin... It sort of goes on like this, we have shown we are not afraid to spend money, but we are not being forced into overspending because we are the premier league. We could copy Sunderland and waste god knows how much this summer on a few over paid/under performing players or Liverpool and get lumped for years with a squad we couldn't afford to even offload. As the squad looks so far it is ok, the only thing we are really lacking is composure over the 90 mins. We should see how it goes with the other CB before completely dismissing our transfer policy here...

Hate to say it but he is the most likely player to get sent off. He isn't a particularly good player on the ball and more than likely would have just taken us down to 10 men very quickly after trying to keep up with paul scholes
