Turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so...
pingwing replied to TopGun's topic in The Saints
Just so long as there are more Japanese women coming to football! Second highlight of Stevenage away was several young Japanese women coming to a Tuesday night league cup 2nd round game!! More attractive women should like this sort of football. -

Shame he hasn't lived up to his potential but he got 32 appearances last season!!! Clearly giving him more game time should fix him but I don't think we have the time, money or are in the position to persist with him. There is only so far we can take a player and only so far it is worth trying to push him into being something he is not, that is a quick winger with an end product. Doubt he will be sold with so little time but ship him out on loan till January to Bournemouth or Coventry and sell next window (give him a chance to do well in L1 followed by a well priced move)

My Polo isn't all that fast... But yes lads! Nice to know there are a few people round here supporting the saints!

Just back (live 25 mins away in St Albans) First half we looked appalling (a real advert for how not to play 4-3-3), Seaborne on the one hand was good at tackling but on the other hand got turned EVERY TIME but the lanky L1 striker! Shameful he's on the bench in the prem. Richardson was the other "cb" but it was more like playing 2 right backs and they should have punished us twice before half time. Second half Nigel clearly threw a shoe and told everyone to SORT IT OUT. Worked, 4-3-3 when everyone puts the right commitment and follows what they have been told to do. Our first good play from punch, looked up for the first time all game to get it to sharp who sent it across to Lee. 3 players demonstrating some proper class. Second was a MASSIVE back pass, the cb looked at him and the keeper still picked it up. Was hilarious!!! Worth the £20 alone decent from chaplow and sharp to score it. 3rd was a SCREAMER from punch, volleys it left foot ball spinning the wrong way and is an amazing goal! Theirs was a mistake from us passing it round the box, couldn't see the culprit but Gazza had no chance. 4th was a decent hit from out side the area, could have done with another for my bets but can't have everything. Overall best things to take from the game are the kids look pretty good, Shaw was the worst - nervy and not in the best places but had good ideas going forward, JWP looked good - good passes on the ball, Reeves - scored a good goal and Hoskins looks skilful and should have scored. Gazza looks a fine 2nd choice keeper, few good saves, made his presence known and organised a difficult back line. Our 2nd choice players look ok back ups, just not all on at the same time in the prem, that wont be good. Quote of the day "Oh Guly" ah Shaw went forward and lost it Motm Lee for putting the effort of someone who wants 1st team.

It'll be worth it! (especially when the thread makes 100 pages and he turns out to be good)

Sol Campbell retired, for a good reason... Having him about would be a bit like having Gallas about, throwing money into the wind because we can (the lest bling status symbol known to man)

Can we silt our wrists now?? We should have been out of sight at 35 mins and instead let them have their 2 chances.... Rodriguez isnt a left winger and it shows!!! Play lallana there, sod 3 in the middle and have rod upfront where he sta ds a change of not looking like an utter waste of 7m Davis looks good if not 100% fit. Still gutted as they are a regation to the extreme

Moses has been sold it's all coming up Millhouse for my 5-0 special...
-
Fiver says its a mix up about not being on the bench tomorrow so he can get a decent run out away at Stevenage with a misstranslation of we need to win tomorrow, not use it as a fitness building exercise for you. I'm sure it's all fine though

Their source better not be Saints Web 4 weeks ago...
-
They are all about as ITK as my cat, who is currently out landing Messi for St Albans FC after Tom Cruise was in town making the place suddenly the most desirable on the planet.
-
Got mine in the post this morning, seemed nice and quick.
-
That would be ideal, get Phillips in and Ramirez in and suddenly Punch looks like his place is gone so he probably will end up rocking the boat again.
-
So Bologna are the new pomp? By taking out a loan on the transfer money we give them they can build the team, but further jeopardise the financial security of their club... Seems ok so long as we get the player!

41 pages, must be time to ask has he signed yet??!?!
-
Has to be clyne really so pleased with the signin of him (as with Steven Davis as well) Guly needs a mention too, involved in a lot of the good stuff in the game.
-
Don't look too bad considering this is a city team on a roll. JWP looks a little raw and nervous and fox isn't really at the races (can't wack shaw in really though). Punch looks like he should be sold to Blackpool first thing monday morning to do everyone a favour. Their goal was offside no matter how much the commentators are trying to justify a poor decision, seen them flag for much much more dubious decisions when that one he goes just a little too early.

Sweepstake on what minute the first patronising comment from sky will be

"what saints need is some real premiership experience and a manager who knows what it takes in this division" first 30 seconds of the game -
So has he signed yet???? (20+ pages is a legitimate time to ask...)
-
MOTHER OF GOD!!!! Wednesday I didn't think this would come off (one of those abitious attempts to look big and clever) but now I am moist this is pretty much going to happen!!!! Season ticket is going to be purchased every season for this guys contract as he is an oustanding signing
-
Has he signed yet?
-
SIGN HIM UP Pretty much the perfect price, any more and we are looking silly, any less and they are. Should slot perfectly into the squad and wage structure (if all is true). I have all my fingers crossed for this one.

Quality draw! Best option (behind MK Dons, Northampton and Burton Albion away) any idea when tickets will be released as this is a must do fixture now...
