I know not the point you are making but both athletics and tennis are integrated so you buy a ticket at Wimbledon you get to watch and enjoy both, same at athletic events. I am broadly with you the marketing is OTT and think it grates with some because it is relatively new to an established men’s game.
Bit like rugby for me - will watch Six Nations and World Cup but never going to be interested in watching a Harlequins league game.
