Retweeted by Nabil Hassan of the BBC: "Nigel Adkins is now the 9/1 second favourite @BetVictorFans for the vacant Blackpool job. He's also 5/4 to be the first PL manager to leave." Is Appleton still the favourite?

We should be alright if my memory holds out. We get a few trains to home games from where we are. We pick up something to eat on the way. We've never lost and on most occasions won when I don't eat before the train starts moving. I did it once, and we lost to Brentford 2-0. Sorry. So I shall try to remember.

Not surprised that you cannot think for yourself. That is all. -
You expect us to win..? Could've gone in match thread and I expect mods will move it there.

Anyone hear this? Unfortunate, but I did laugh. I'll try and find the link... EDIT: http://panicdots.com/2012/10/bbc-radio-ulster-read-out-jimmy-savile-joke-live-on-air-by-mistake/

Dave Merrington just ****es me off. I can't stand listening to him on the radio, he contributes nothing and sits there on his pedestal as if he was some top draw manager. He contributes nothing. He's out-dated, ill-informed and irritating. Why does he always whisper? YOU ARE ON THE RADIO!!! "What Saints don't want to do now is concede" - WHEN DO WE EVER WANT TO CONCEDE?! He's an old fuddy-duddy who has lost touch with the times, as said - he contributes absolutely nothing to the commentary or radio experience. Why is he there? Is it imperative to have a 'blast from the past' who is boring, irritating and out of touch co-commentating these days. Solent's budget must have been seriously pushed when they got Dave in. Merrington out.

Pathetic.

Well if we're talking about "most with connections" - I'd say Nigel got a couple of his targets. Nat Clyne and Jay were most certainly his, and Paulo came on the recommendation of Big Jim.
-
As above. I don't think who is managing the side is an issue right now. The lack of necessary investment in certain positions is the downfall. I believe Nigel would be fine if we had invested as we should have done. We've gone arse about face and put the cart before the horse.

Summary of NA's interview: Not a fun night Don't think it was a penalty Isgrove was a bright spark and positive for the club Jos got caught out We set our stall out We tried to be positive and utilise width and pace I must take full responsibility I made 11 changes, you can talk about it all day long - we played 48 hours ago and have to consider recovery process Playing those with something to prove Playing our youngsters to give them the chance to be 'right' for the football club Of course this matters - we are playing for Southampton Football Club I expect performances After tonight, there will be consequences for that performance It is my responsibility - that team should be able to win, but it is my responsibility I tried to give some players without game-time an opportunity People will always talk (about me), but stability is important at every level - we want to be successful The chairman will decide what is right for the football club Our relationship (NA and NC) has to be right and correct We need stability but cannot keep losing games like that We must address issues for the sake of Southampton Football Club and the supporters who have always been superb to me All I want is the best for Southampton Football Club I don't want to be anywhere else, I want nothing more than for SFC to be successful - and be successful together I love Southampton Football Club Also was asked... Blackmore: "In fairness, you're saying you accept responsibility - but there were a lot of senior players out there to take responsibility...?" Adkins: "Yes."

Never mind that, look at Reading's pathetic team-sheet:

Simon Peach reporting that Saints statement to the press says that the incident involving Boruc is being investigated and severe sanctions are now being considered. Boruc will be given a decision on his future at Saints before the end of the week. Peach's Tweets:

BBC Radio Solent's Adam Blackmore: I believe the Artur Boruc bottle incident at the Chapel End on Sunday is being taken pretty seriously by #saintsfc - doubt he'll be at Leeds

Yeah because the 50 seconds are so that quote took would make a huge difference. Don't be such a berk, making little snidey comments.

I thought it was quite good, and nice to see. Maybe some people don't appreciate good poetry on SaintsWeb, who'd have thought?
