PRE-SEASON: Schalke 04 vs Southampton - (18:00 KO)

punch and J-Rod look sharp. VW is a beaaast. strong as an ox. Lovren looks a bit unsure to me. -
I'm here. loads of Schalke fans. You all in the gasthaus still?

This figure even approximately fits with the figures Seumas Milne uses this morning in the Graun to support (WTF?) his demand for a republic. Funny how the rest of the article rants on and on about democracy Poor sod really is losing his sense of self-awareness with each passing week, as his articles go more and more for provoking response than having serious content Really is modelling himself on that sneering tw*t Pilger now. And how amusing all this hectoring sounds when you examine his family and educational background

Sweet. We can narrow our eyes and pretend its those DCFSB f**ktards down the other end of the M27. -
Thanks. I would probably buy you one back, too. Just for anyone travelling to the Besiktas match, kick off has been put back to 18:30. Hope that doesnt screw up travelling-home plans.

I have no doubt he is a top bloke and he was a fantastic cricketer. But like all Aussies, he becomes a whining bitter begrudging old woman when it comes to recognising the achievements of the England team
-
Are you suggesting they call him Severus ?
-
I'm aiming for 4:30 at the ground. Have to go home and pick the kids up after work. Might do as you suggest tomorrow for training. Not sure who I should make myself known to this evening, to be honest... I do get some pretty agressive and threatening comments on here from some.
-
do you the training session times for the next couple of days ? you definitely did your homework today

I am a bit confused. Isnt the hotel Schloss Velden ? Villach isnt on the Wörthersee. That photo posted above is definitely Velden on the Wörthersee. Also, I understand that the training is at the ground of ATUS Velden, which is very near the hotel. The Lind stadium where the games take place, which as you rightly mentioned has a sports track around, is the home from Villacher SV. I also wonder if the club officials realise there is a big f**k off party in Velden all-night-long on Friday, called Fete Blanche, where everyone turns up dressed head-to-toe in white and gets absolutely smashed. Not very restful !!!

Really looking forward to it.

There are 3 cricket grounds in Austria, and about 6 teams. Mostly run by colonial ex-pats. They get guest teams over from the UK, and from Czech Republic and Slovenia (also colonial ex-pats). What is very suprising is the amount of clubs sprouting up around Europe made up of Afghan refugess. Apparently they are VERY good, and it goes some way to explain why Afghanistan is shooting up the ICC rankings. Afghanistan is really embracing cricket.

I somehow doubt it was ever genuine. Just makes us look ambitious letting unscotched rumours drift around.

Horses for courses, I suppose. -
Dunno, they arent home yet. My missus went to town with them and is dropping the eldest off at his cricket training (funnily enough, in Velden...)
-
Definitely staying in Velden, then.

Asked Jordan Sibley on Twitter, promised to come back to me, got no answers yet.

Crap. They came through arrivals properly, like the general public : https://twitter.com/SouthamptonFC/status/359654671138295809/photo/1

Hes not going to go unless we've got a replacement lined up we are sure will do the job asked of him, imo.

Positivity. Blind optimism or great things happening?

Water off a ducks back, Dunc. His put-downs are always the same, and merely attempt to divert attention from his groundless mindless happy-clappy b*ll*cks. -
Yeah, I am pretty sure its them. Will have to keep my adulation cake, iced with a frosting of frustration, to afar tomorrow evening....
-
Yes, that thought had occurred to me to.

Just looked on a map. The Peralada training camp is only 50Km from Gerona. Must be them. Having second thoughts now. After this thread, it will be obvious who the middle-aged portly man stood politely clapping them as they come through will be. One of them might tw*t me. I am betting it will be Ramirez.

Can anyone who is ITK help with a little detective work ? Saints are training in Velden, and playing in Villach. I am therefore assuming they are flying into Klagenfurt. I just look at the arrivals schedule for today, and there is a completely non-scheduled flight ex-Gerona (Spain) coming in at 14:00. I was thinking this must be them. I thought I might take the kids down and welcome them, get a couple of photos. Can anyone confirm this is them ? Thanks.
