  1. This. the straw-clutching on here is pathetic yet entirely predictable. But it is to be expected, seeing as everyone was thinking we were the finished article because we drew with a sh*t Arsenal team and now are having trouble dealing with their disappointment.
  2. We should have beaten Arsenal Today we were totally outclassed and lost a key player to injury which is going to make matters nigh on impossible considering our p*ss-poor transfer activity. I see no inconsistency whatsoever in the two statements. We played well last week, this week it was a return to form. But WTF, having been called up for your ridiculous bandwagon-jumping cliche that I was silent last week, I suppose attack is the best defence.
  3. Great post. Pity some of our fans dont feel the same way.
  4. Oh, I thought Chelsea were a fellow PL team, who in fact we face in the league in the next couple of weeks....
  5. There is no need for a false smiley, I reckon. I dont think the mods infract for abbreviations.
  6. We are so going down. We simply arent good enough to compete at this level. And chances are our defence is about to be thrown back into turmoil. And our management are playing latter-day Neros or clever-clever d*cks so we will fail to reinforce in this window.
  7. Yep, this for me is concrete proof that this club turns transfer activity into a f**king circus.
  8. Not rocket science, is it ? Really dont understand the pooving around that allows another 3 or 4 games to go down the plughole, and the risk of not securing anyone. Our weaknesses have been known for MONTHS. If the targets havent been identified for almost as long, our management arent doing their jobs.
  9. F**ked confidence F**ked CB I should say so..
  10. Yes, and rightly so. The squads deficiencies have been there for all to see for 3 months. Including our management. Seeing as we actually do have games during the transfer window, leaving reinforcement to avoid relegation to the end of the window when 3 or 4 more games have gone, considering the obivous weaknesses of the squad for so long, is plain f**king bizarre. And as Sid says, we are crap at playing the transfer market. Period.
  11. I thought squad strengthening was supposed to be a nailed-on certainty in this window ? Very bemused this thread has been started. Sounds like some of you are preparing yourselves for disappointment...
  12. Seems like a reasonable summary to me, tbh..
  13. I get the gist of your post, R, but it still remains to be seen if their odd priorities and tardiness in other departments during the Summer has ultimately cost us our so hard fought-for return to the PL.
  14. I thought the general opinion is that this issue doesnt have a lot to do with Nigel. My main problem with him is his substitutions.
  15. As you know damn well, I was referring to our p*ss-poor performance in the last transfer window, and the clear obviousness of where we need to reinforce now - those positions which we ignored or paid lip-service to in the summer.
  16. Hillarious that clowns like you keep taking the p*ss, despite the fact that I have been proven right yet again and those of you who took the p*ss have egg on your faces. Talk about lack of self-awareness And lo! Despite our squad shortcomings being known to the ENTIRE PLANET for 3 MONTHS, we will still be dragging our feet and scrabbling around to achieve anything on the transfer market by the time the window closes......
  17. You want to think about how it feels when you express your opinon, like everyone else, then get a dozen posters responding with relentless abuse. Of course I try to defend myself/elaborate my opinion. How anyone can think it is attention seeking in such context is utterly beyond me. As I said earlier, I get a whiff of "we're the finished PL article" on here, just because we drew with one of the weakest Arsenal teams for years.
  18. And the excuse for the next match will be ? I dont think it is churlish to mention it. I think the team is lacking a winning/killer mentality. 19 points lost after taking the lead. I suppose that is all luck in your opinion ? As Mark Bright on the BBC wrote, Arsenal were there for the taking today, we wont often get a better chance to beat them.
  19. Even if your interpretation is correct, so what ?
  20. I thought this was the post-match reaction thread, meaning people should post their reactions to the match, not what you think they should be. - I think it was 2 points dropped at home again, considering how the game went - I am pleased at our defensive improvement. - I am worried our new defensive understanding might about to be disturbed by a moove for Shaw Wow, controversial.....
  21. Nothin more than a negative ? I praised the defensive improvement, or were you too busy being outraged in my assertion we should have beaten them and therfore 2 points were dropped, to get to the end of my post ? I'll support who I want to, and you can carry on believing the hype about a point against Arsenal meaning we are the finished article.
  22. Another attempt at sensible discussion met with abuse. I wonder about the moderation round here sometimes.
  23. I'm guessing thats part of it, but having played so brilliantly over the past few games I'm guessing they expected an easy ride today and took their feet off the gas a bit. You can only beat what is in front of you.
  24. Oh, give it up with the foul whining. Post your post-match thoughts on Facebook if all you want is a gushing sheep mentality, rather than a real discussion.
  25. So, its cretinously stupid to believe that having done the hard work by, as you put it, denying space to one of the most potent attacks in the PL, that we use our many chances to win the game ? May I remind you that apart from Reading, we have the worst record in the table for giving away points once we have acquired the lead ? Its 19 now, I believe. Our home games are running out fast. We need to win them, given our dire away record, if we want to stay up. Really, I wonder at this sites ability to see any sort of balance whatsoever sometimes. Yes, our defence has improved, but it was only 3 games ago when the whole team played utterly sh*te against Sunderland. There is a massive amount of work to be done, and a critical time has arrived where we must reinforce in the right manner. Getting a home point against Arsenal is near the beginning of the process, not the end.
