  1. Over 300 posts on this. Blimey, have we nothing better to worry about, like the fact we NEEDED a dive to win the Villa game ?
  2. Avoiding releagtion. Plain and simple. Considering some of the games coming up, and that apparently we are not-at-the-races in the transfer market, despite a rapidly congesting Treatment Room, I still think that hangs in the balance.
  3. Well, seriously, FFS. If I were on a wind-up I could do it much more effectively and wouldnt ponce about pretending to be so f**ked off with things that happen at SMS. Some people on here are so up their own arses about their opinions and support of SFC that anyone who dares disagree with them gets called all sorts of ridiculous hysterical things. Since when has there only been one way to support, and everyone should be proud and happy at the same time. I am rarely personally abusive nowaday, having been so often infracted in the past, but the amount I get in return just bizarre. and I am not the only one to cop the insanity/troll/Skate accusation either. Really, the idea that a discussion site should be one person write a sickly-sweet gushing happy-clappy stream of drivel and everyone else without exception should come along with their own personal interpretation of the nodding dog routine is just plain mental.
  4. Yet you jumped in on this thread and replied.... Christ, this would be too easy if I really tried a bit...
  5. You be quiet and go and get the Captains bread rolls out of the oven before they burn..
  6. Superb lack of self-awareness from Mr. "Players only going to see sick kids in Hospital because their contracts demand it" WIFRM Avatar........
  7. Trolling Bedwetting Insanity/Depression Supporting Pompey FFS, have a word with yourselves you bunch of ridiculous girls blouses, grow up and accept that people are entitled to different opinions without an agenda. I made positive and negative comments in my post, and as usual you hone in on the negative ones like a bunch of hysterical precious tarts. Really, the reaction has become so predicatable and such a self-parody its almost worth me thinking about doing it deliberately....
  8. And how much time do you take writing this identical whining attempt-at-mobbing post every day ???
  9. Great. The old "look where we were 3 years ago" gambit raises its head again. Really troubles me that threads like this occur after a masively underwhelming victory against the division whipping boys... I am proud of the L1 run-in, and proud of back-to-back promotions. I am not proud of our dog-sh*t preparation of this season. I may end up proud of the way we recover from it by May.
  10. Yes. Every other club has at least one person doing it. Though its a pity after 30m quid spent that we have to resort to it. Seriously tickled by those answering "no"...
  11. Has he lived up to the hype so far ? No. Will he fuflill expectations eventually ? Maybe. Not if he p*sses off to Fiorentina at the earliest opportunity, obviously. Having trouble understanding why our resident gushers are having such hissy fits over people thinking this, or something similar. No-one has suggested booing him or hounding him out in any shape or form. The self-opinionatedness and intolerance on here sometimes is really something to behold.
  12. All the more reason why some of the comments are OTT. As usual. The only thing we got from this game is the points.
  13. This. And to think his acqisition prevented proper strengthening of the defence...
  14. So the usual aggression raises its ugly head just because someone is not gushing about a tight win where the ref tipped the balance, against the division whipping boys.......... And people describe me as predictable
  15. I'll conceed from the highlights that Boruc has done enough to secure the GK jersey, it seems.
  16. We got given a goal for artistic merit. Benteke should have got Villa a point, which looking at the highlights they deserved. 3 points is 3 points, but this was not the manner of victory we were all hoping for - be honest.
  17. Nope, you guessed right, but we had 44% posession and didnt score any goals against the worst team in the PL. Whats your point ?
  18. No way, thats all in our heads, remember ?
  19. 3 points, thats all that matters, I suppose. But we got it with a dodgy peno rather than unequivocally created ourselves. AL is injured, and our other superstar has decided he cant be bothered. And now Shaw is injured (can you put your violin down for a bit and do something, Nicola ???) I suppose we should be grateful that various players convalesence is going to be whilst we are getting tw*ttings from the top 6, rather than against relegation rivals.
  20. F**k me, waving the white flag already. This is a sh*t or bust game. Win, and maybe we move up a bit and live to fight another day. Draw or lose and we are looking at a new league and a new manager, imo.
  21. Yep, agree completely. We are now in damage-limitation/crisis mode...AGAIN. And already 11 days in, playing Villa tomorrow in what could very well be NAs last match if we make a complete f**king hash of it, and we might as well be singing : "lets all scratch our arses, lets all scratch our arses, la-la-la-la-OI !!! la-la-la-la-OI !!! lets all scratch our arses, lets all scratch our arses, la-la-la-la-OI !!! la-la-la-la-OI !!!"
  22. You may be right, but the UK is a democracy, and if the issue becomes a big enough vote-winner, there will be a referendum, and if the referendum votes to leave, thats it. Its something you "we know best" Guardianistas seem to have a little trouble remembering.
  23. You forgot the fact that we were miles ahead of the Manhattan Project with Tube Alloys, that the US coaxed our know-how out of us on the agreement that all weaponisation know-how would be shared, then they prevented UK scientists from seeing the Hiroshima detonation, and Truaman signed the MacMahon Act cutting us off from all that they agreed to provide us with.
  24. Its hillarious on so many counts that I am having trouble composing a sensible flow to this post. Which of the 2 countries, the UK and the US, has the history of turning inwards on itself ? Lemme give you a clue, its the one with the ghey arrangement of stars and stripes in its flag. The UK is in the EU for UK interests. The people and the government of the UK are the ones who decide if we should stay or go depending on how the membership continues to serve the UK interests. The UK is not there to serve US interest or act as the US henchmen to the EU. Damn I get p*ssed off with how the US thinks the universe revolves around it and only shows an interestin the UK when it needs something. Its really time the UK tells the US where to get off. We are partners or they can f**k off to their new buddies in Asia. I am still bloody annoyed at finding out Alexander Haig nearly tipped Argentina off about the move to recapture Sough Georgia in 1982, that Reagan asked Thatcher to stop the Falklands recapture before the Argies surrendered, and that the Obama adminstration refer to the Falklands as the Malvinas.
  25. A couple of months ago, you say. But since then Lallana and Fonte have been injured (I assume Clyne is back soon) and as Charlie writes, Shaw has stepped up to the plate, and Puncheon hasnt signed anything.
