Baj or Steve, can we put Nige in the top banner for a while ?

He did a lot of things I cant fathom, but his positive impact on the club is undisputable. -
You can be very eloquent, do you know that ? Your vision is a bit Utopian, but its something to aspire to, at least.
-
Wont be out of work long, and a genuine future candidate for England manager who might win something. Thanks Nige, and good luck.

Have they all got their hoes and scythes with them ??? -
Don't be surprised if Coutinho is brought in...

Agreed. And I expect it to be quick, too; Cortese needs to throw the fan-base a bone, PDQ. I actually expected a double announcement today. -
Dont agree with you on a lot, but on this you are spot-on. Just about the most sensible post written on the subject so far. IMO he should have given NA the season, but perhaps didnt have the confidence that NA would keep our PL place. In which case he should have done something around the time of the West Ham or Spurs games.

What do you want me to say ? The Liebherrs own it, which means to all intents and purposes, NC owns and does what he likes with SFC. I genuinely believe there is no oversight. You lot are invited along for the ride (cost: single or season tickets) or you can p*ss off and take up backgammon. Thats what football is all about nowadays. Look at the Arsenal ticket price thing; if you dont pay it, someone else will.

I for one dont think you are. The comments after the Coventry game suggest you arent either. He knew he was on borrowed time, I think.

Interesting. I've learnt 2 things today : 1. That everyone apparently has their own personal happy-clap threshold. 2. When an event breaches a happy-clap threshold of an individual (as has happened so often today), the aggression, negativity and annoyingness of those individuals, and those traditionally viewed as negative, are indistinguishable -
No its not. It's the property of the Liebherr family, and he is their representative. FFS, you lot need to calm down; the manager needs 18 points from 16 games, and he needs your support to do it, not you lot behaving like a bunch of spolit brats. Imo this change was going to happen in the summer anyway.
-
Take a break from being a pillock. Its the wrong time. I suspected it might happen during the summer, but thought he would get the time to prove himself. Its the wrong replacement. The bloke has sod-all experience of English football, hardly speaks the lingo, and doesnt have the right set of players to do his thing with, imo. I recognise what NA has achieved; I think he looked over his head with team selection, tactics and substitutions this season, but maybe there were a few small signs he was catching on.
-
He will be back in football (as long as he doesnt want a break) by Easter, I reckon. The offers from L1 and NPC clubs will be stacked high.
-
FFS. Have a word with yourself. Do you really think the Liebherr family will care ? They have complete faith in NC to protect the family investment. End of.
-
Erm, Alan Pardew's team got promoted with NA. I think its too early to say. He hasnt even taken training yet.
-
Everyone else is mourning the loss of a decent manager, and you are scoring brownie points. Says more about you than me.

I dont expect any deals to be closed. Will believe Forren signs when I see it.

Well, me too. Hardly any of these Latino manager coach experiments in the EPL have been a resounding success. -
Yet nevertheless conceded that he was turning things around and thinks that this decision (or at least its timing) is a colossal mistake. But if the nasty personal stuff makes u feel better today, fill yer boots.
-
I wonder what is going through his head this afternoon ? Still 13 days left in the window. Wouldnt surprise me if he is no longer a Saints player when the window shuts.

Agree completely. This situation is not of the new managers making. -
Today is not the right time for this thread. Everyone needs to vent their spleen at this act of gross injustice. Tomorrow thoughts can turn to supporting the new management team.
-
I empathise with the sentiment, but its ultimately wrong. Cortese has been a bellend, but still he is doing what he thinks is right to bring success to SFC. He should now stand or fall by his decision. In the meantime, if you dont want SFC to fall into rack and ruin, mediocrity and insolvence, you still have to get behind the team, FFS.
