What, that I think we leave our activity too late, thinking we are being clever, and always come away at the close not having done enough to strengthen the team in the required areass or having left it too late that a dozen games have passed before transfers are properly integrated ? Guilty and proud of it, m'Lud...

Is there anyone still in doubt that NC always intended to replace NA in the middle term, and that NA wasnt aware of it ? I certainly dont beleive the "NA found out in front of the TV" byline going round..

4 boys - 12, 9, 3 and 8 months. The 12 year-old is well into puberty and fights non-stop with the 9 year-old, and the 3 year old is jealous as f**k of the baby. And I am f**king exhausted. I am sure I am proud of all of them and love them with all my heart, but I cant think straight most of the time and cant wait to get away from the house sometimes.

Yep, as per usual some posters have got utterly carried away following a couple of good results against big clubs, down to the team raising their game above its usual level. Lee and Mayuka are looking like a waste of money. The jury is still out on J-Rod for me. Davis (personally prefer Chaplow) and DeRidder arent good enough. We have competitivie midfield and attack when all our first-choice players are available, but only then.

Was very kind to my kids when he met them at one of the open days.

At least I am consistent and just dont suck up everything the club is shovelling. Maybe the first 11 can drag us over the line. As long as they regain and maintain fitness. But as ever, we have about 13 players able to compete at this level and if we need to call on players outside of that number, the quality doesnt exist in the squad.

Disappointed in lack of activity in both directions, but not surprised; not really able to gather the energy to make a big fuss about it. We have a new manager. As soon as Adkins was fired I knew that was our transfer window over. Forren went through due to the intertia related to a deal already underway. With Fonte and Lallana coming back hopefully we will be OK, but nevertheless we havent exactly taken a firm grasp on our destiny via transfer activity, though... I do wonder if we put all our eggs in one basket over Coutinho, and are left scrabbling around for a replacement. I can imagine such behaviour led to signing Gaston (target captured) and Yoshi (target not captured, Plan B). I certainly no longer beleive this baloney about us working on deals in parallel. Also highly amused that the posters, who called those annoyed at transfer behaviour in the summer "bedwetters" who should be patient for the January window, are now all claiming the squad is strong enough and they are ambivalent as to whether we get anyone else in. Only on SaintsWeb do we get such toadying sycophants....

Argentina upping the ante on the Falklands....

The photos of the Santissima Trinidad incident are extremely reminiscent of the sinking of HMS Coventry, and in a sense feel like a poetic justice. Were the Batch1 and 2 variants of the Type 42 more susceptible to capsizing ? I read somewhere that the original removal of the hull section and stiffening in the design, finally put back for the Batch 3 variants, totally wrecked their handling qualities at sea; did it have other side-effects ? -
1 signing, combined with a failure to get a new signature out of Puncheon, is probably not enough, but considering the managerial shennanigans I dont know what should have been expected. NC set his priorities elsewhere this month, and now has to face up to the consequences of them, for good or bad...

The glass jaw will still fail him in the final.

Are we PRO or ANTI Cortese on this Forum

The forum is mostly pro, I reckon, with a few dissenters. -
Has anyone seen Coutinho play ? Is it worth all the aggro ? Going right to the wire in a colossal game of chicken with Liverpool, not looking elsewhere, and ending up with nothing ?
