So what are we supposed to do ? The other 12 also-rans in the PL are managing to motivate their players. Maybe the set-up at Saints is less capable of getting the players to toe the line than at other clubs. Maybe this complaicent "if you leave, sure we will find a replacement of the same quality" dogma that we had is starting to backfire. As in, we cant do it any more and now we are trying to hold on to the players, and they are resisting. I just think something has gone massively wrong behing the scenes, and I guess it was letting Mane and Pelle leave last summer without even blinking.

Here's a theory - he has started sh*t-stirring the other players directly, on phone or F2F, away from SMS and the training ground. He has decided to make a real nuisance of himself. In the Echo today - our incoming business is done. I thought last summer was woeful. the cupboard is BARE up front, there are major questions about our GK options in my opinion, our attacking midefield options are poor, and we are still one decent CB short, again in my opinion.

The whining "its so unfair, they did the same as us" bin-dippers simply dont get it still. - Chelsea havent eviscerated our team in the last 2 summers. - There has been no major concerted media-onslaught from ex-Chelsea players - We, like everyone else in football, despise Liverpools self-obsession, blatant hypocrisy and sense of self-entitlement. - Chelsea are more likely to match our valuation

Agree with this. Are we being linked with an attacking player ? I think we need an effective creative attacking midfielder, rather than a target man; my feeling is that Tadic and Boufal arent good enough.

We have a new owner with no track record who has just stumped up 210m which he doesnt have. Anything's possible. And even if Chelsea dont get all 3, Graham Roberts is busy telling the media that Spurs have a new RB coming in. Anyone want to put money against it being Cedric ?
