An amusing development... -

B*ll*cks. Its fully deserved. He tried to destabillise our club. -
Just how/why did pre-season turn into such a shambles ?

Yeah, millions to spend over two windows. What a handicap, what a rotten disadvantage... -

Complete b*ll*cks. Thats why we ended up with Gray and Wigley. Isnt it about time for you to face up to yourself and the simple fact that you seem incapable of accepting Lowe has gone ? You are the ONLY person who brings him up on here any more. -

Go away then, if you think there is no discussion to be had. Personally, I feel this needs airing so that it never happens again. Next summer, when I bang on about trasnfer activity in June, I expect all of you who sneered this summer to STFU. -
Surely one is Spanish and one is Italian ?

This Saints team looks less prepared for a season than any other previously, and lets face it, we've had some peaches over the years, including the Golden Duo season, the "we've sold our best three players" season and the Back-from-the-Brink season. Specifically : The fitness of the players, and why so many players have started this season carrying injuries. Who the f**k advised the club on Lallana's knee, that Nigerian bloke being done for malpractice in Germany ? The strategy for the friendlies. I genuinely think our strongest 11 didnt play together for any time at all before the Plymouth game. We were putting out 2 fecking different teams per game, FFS. What ever happened to developing tactics and understandings ? Transfer activity. I am at a loss over this one, really I am. We didnt go back for Papa, were unsuccessful landing Antonio, but brought in our fourth LB. Wow... If Mr. Cortese has learned one thing out of this debacle, I hope it is an instinct for what makes a constructive meaningful pre-season. I know he had a pretty big distraction, which in itself may have disturbed the nature of the pre-season a bit. It seems to me he knew jack-sh*t and let Pardew run rings around him.
-
I think he will too, but maybe its simply too late for this season. I wonder if Fonte and Lambert specifically really want to be here still.
-
I think it makes perfect sense. I recognise (as did Cortese) that changing manager is disruptive. All I am saying is that maybe promotion wasnt on anyway, because we started the season so sh*t.
-
We were only 10 points off the top when last season started, and that was apparently insurmountable. And now we have 9 games less. Forget it. Aint going to happen...
-
Not at all. Wycombe was in the middle of a pretty good run with a pretty well-stocked expensively assembled squad; he simply failed to get the team up for it. Adkins is making do with what hes got, including what seems to be a couple of want-away players from an already weaker squad, and the team is down and demotivated currently.
-
Indeed, we should shut up about win ratios PDQ before SOGGY turns up and starts banging on about Georgio Burlinho.
-
Sorry, all bets are off on that one. The manager changed. Pardew had no excuses, and indicated in his first 4 games he wasnt up to it, Adkins has a weaker squad than Pardew had AND he has got to re-motivate some pretty listless players, it seems.
-
Yep. Wycombe 0-0 for me was the lowest point of the season. I knew then Pardew was taking us nowhere.
-
This thread is truly ridiculous, LGTC, and you know it. How bad were we for Pardew's first 4 games compared to NA ? How much support did Pardew get in strengthening the team compared to what NA is getting ? I aint too chuffed at how we are doing, but apart from the Bristol Rovers game, Pardew was doing pretty f**king sh*t this season after having a pre-season to prepare.
-
I've done it twice. First time on the 2nd half thread, then here where it really belongs. Try not to get so hysterical.
-
Noiw more than 10 points off the lead..
-
Yep, it was Yeovil. Truly f**king awful.
-
A truly f**king appaling result, AP departure or not. Now more than 10 points off the lead, with 9 of the 46 games gone...

Its got nothing to do with the moderation. I got an infraction two weeks ago, but I deserved it. I havent seen any real difference in activity from the mods. Its all about where we are as a club at the moment. Its been a tough first month of the season, we've lost owner and manager, and we dont really have a good picture about the direction of the team and the quality of the new manager (although the potential is clearly there..). The club has been floundering for the first month and is trying to establish itself in a way it should have done during the summer. Everyone is uncertain, but there is strangely little to talk about. The beginning of the season has also been exhaustingly frustrating. So, there is less posting going on, and maybe the mods are cleaning the place up a bit for when the volume posting takes off again. The problem is the club however, not the site.

Blimey. Post #81 and #82 got Misselbrook banned. Did he hit some sort of raw nerve with the mods ?

You do, or you wouldnt have started this thread.

Oh, I AM so sorry. WE WILL WALK THIS LEAGUE (is that better....?) -
S-Clark just posted he has a "thigh strain" Whatever. If he has and wants to play for us, then I am happy as long as he looks like he is arsed when he comes back. If not, probably best for all if he f**ks off.
