So what if its not ? NC didnt text him and tell him to put Goolie on, even in the rumour. He asked why Goolie didnt come on earlier. My understanding is that Goolie improved in the next game, so maybe NC was right. Maybe this is even more evidence of Pardews "attitude"

Yep, our fan base has really shown its true colours. Even I was tempted to the Darkside yesterday.

Not moving on... Some of these ridiculous assertions deserve being challenged. Yes he was. Not a single manager in the history of our club has been given less time, less resources, or a less motivated team to rescue from relegation than Pearson. He got Lucketti and Perry in for nowt and eeked out the results needed. He is a hero. Who gives a sh*t about the win ratio ? He was employed to return us to the PL, and was given the biggest budget of any of our managers in the club history. He failed dismally. He made bizarre decisions like freezing out our top-scorer mid-season (how would you feel if the new guy did that to Lambert ?). His formations and tactics were bizarre and as easily out -thought as Pardews (Exhibit A: Billy Davies made one change at the Derby home match in the play-off season and turned the match completely round and Burley was totally unable or unwilling to respond) I could not....care....less if you want to describe him as a heavy drinker or an alkie, bottom line is a decent Chairman would have fired him for the post-match interview against Colchester on Sky where he was so completely blotted he was (incorrectly) arguing the facts with the interviewer Not even bothering. Your position on him is totally untenable. He has not made one catastrophic decision. If there would have been still time for Pardew to turn this season round, as many on here argue, the same goes for a new manager. If Cortese had decided that he couldnt work with the man anymore because of his attitude, its his call. The rest about the parking, booking fee, installment plan (returning next year after a one-year hiatus because of pikeys defaulting) is chickensh*t. I dont beleive them either, but the closest we will get to the truth is that the two couldnt work together anymore, and NC is the boss. If Pardew was continually ignoring instruction from his boss, he deserved to go. I think the trigger may not have been a football reason, but the build up was footballing reasons and insubordination.

He obviously cares so much it hurts him when things dont go right. Its worrying because the guys health is at risk. Its pleasing that we have someone who cares about the success of the team at last. Anyone on here trying to make captial out of Up and Away's post should be ashamed of themselves. They are not human and they certainly arent Saints fans.

Do you want him to fail ? Do you get a kick out of hearing the stress the guys suffers, just because he's dared add some small fees to a few things ? Grow up, FFS.

Just came back from a holiday in the UK, first day at work, was working in a lab, someone called me over to his PC where he had it transpiring live on the screen. I thought it was some kind of hoax.

Why have you got to make facetious comments over everything ? Perhaps he feels if he is going to ask for 2-3M additional funds he needs to do that in person, explaining in detail why. I've just bought a house here in Austria; I didnt ask for my mortgage over the phone.

According to the Echo this morning, yesterday NC went back to Switzerland for something, then flew back in to meet with the Scunny chairman. Seems like he may have been conferring with the Liebherrs about the financial aspects, imo. Maybe over the compensation and/or mutually agreed loan/transfer targets ?

Deeply confused today, will reserve judgement on NC until I see who he appoints as manager and how that works out until Xmas.

Interesting that he indicated that the installment plan was having problems because of non-payers. Suggest that the fan base has itself at least partly to blame.

I am very relieved to read the outcome of this dinner - thanks for the links. I really want to support NC, and he presses all the right buttons according to this summary. He has the potential to be a great chairman, and I agree with the earlier comment that all that separates him from greatness seems to be PR (provided he picks the right manager now) I am willing to accept AP was removed for good reasons. Its just a pity it took an event like this to clear things up. Why cant he commnicate properly with the fan base via the OS ? He bypasses the media then.
