We also have financial security and no fear of being bankrupt for the first time in a decade, and you have the sheer temerity to describe this as "the lowest ebb" that you have known. I am assuming you would argue yesterdays result would not have happened if Pardew were still here, or are you not so sure of your new post-Burley champion any more ? Once the new manager, someone who will have an understanding of tactics not picked up from a 1969 Ladybird book, comes in, this team will pick themselves up and start doing the business again, I am 100% certain of it. Yep you are right though. If Lowe had made some decisions like this, I would have been furious. But then we all knew he only gave a sh*t about his asset and share value and didnt care if the club succeeded on the field or not, where as NC clearly does not have the same fixations. So at the moment I trust that the tortuous road he is taken will come to the right destination.

I was thinking more of Swindon home when were near what was supposed to be our peak, actually. I have no doubt that the team is doing a lot of things right. I am hoping that NC has had a little shock to his system, and that all of the experienced suitable candidates that he talks to make it clear that they will have little truck with his interference.

Dont bother then. But I reserve the right to take the p*ss out of such daft comments as saying Pardew would have got us promoted. No way. No F**KING WAY. He hasnt had the relationship with NC since around last February needed in order to achieve promotion. NC clearly didnt trust him or respect his opinion. Pardews presence at the club was clearly holding us back, taking as a fact that NCs presence is like an unmovable object. Therefore a new manager with a clean slate with NC is the only way forward. Provided the manager chosen has the right qualities and experience, this incident has INCREASED our chances of promotion.
