  1. But I would have understood if the FA had taken action against us because of it. The whole admin/points docked thing is a matter of principle about teams cheating and living beyond their means shouldnt gain from it. As far as I am concerned, the football authorities went far enough in letting them sell outside the transfer window - they should not be allowed to win the world game's oldest and most respected trophy.
  2. I agree. Considering how a lot of people were banging on about their day out to Wembley for the JPT, denying them that is the best thing. And before a smart-arse answers that the SF was at Wembley, it is not the same as a final..
  3. Oh and of course yer average fish-fiddler would be equally as generous about us if the roles were reversed, wouldnt he ? It will be a dark day for English football if they win the Cup. Perhaps there is even an argument that their 2008 win should be expunged from the record books, since they were cheating even then.....
  4. I dont see the similarity. We were already out of the Cup by the time we went into admin. We didnt have the opportunity to disgrace the FA Cup by winning it.
  5. I noticed this (except Orient) yesterday. A definite turn-around. However, it would also be interesting to analyse our record against the bottom clubs too, to find out how often we failed to beat the poor clubs of the league.
  6. Has UEFA already said that ? Good.
  7. I dont mind you diverting attention away from your own weaknesses, such as a total lack of ambition....
  8. Deliberately ? I wonder if he had a bet on Pompey at the bookies. Nothing would surprise me with him.
  9. Cheating is cheating. If they win the Cup, it will be a worse devaluing of it than the year Manyoo didnt play. Surely admin leading to 9pts off from the PL warranted expulsion from the FA Cup too ?
  10. yes, because derogatory generalising adjectives should only be used in one direction only, shouldnt they ?
  11. Good then that by Xmas AP has had nearly 18months...
  12. I get the point precisely. You are arguing in an indirect manner that AP should be given the whole next season, and that we should risk not being promoted again. And I disagree with every atom of my being. We need our owner to see his plan working out as intended, lest he lose interest and walk away. I see no evidence of our inconsistent form being resolved; despite thinking we can still make the playoffs, I expect my hopes to be derailled by a really stupid result against the likes of Yeovil. Oh, and the caution with formation and tactics could really cost us.
  13. If we arent in automatic promotion spot by Xmas, he should go. Inconsistency will be inexcusable next season.
  14. Where have I said I expect us to win every game next season ? I expect us to be top of the division next Xmas if still in L1, thats all. Maybe you should act your age and stop misrepresenting other peoples opinion, or maybe you are a bit dim and cannot see the difference.
  15. If we make it to the CCC this season, the bar will be mid-table, imo. NC will not want to risk relegation and starting from square one.
  16. Utter b*ll*cks. It wasnt any of the faction who you allude to who started this thread, it was a happy clapper trying to make excuses for next season now. I want AP to succeed next season, but if there is even a whiff of failure on the horizon at Xmas, I expect and support NC in doing the logical thing.
  17. I agree, but my opinion on this is already clear. Sadly, it just seems some are trying to "get their excuses in early" for next season. Anyway, its a moot point; NC will give AP until Xmas, and if we are not sitting pretty at the top of the table and are farting around with mid-table mediocrity again, he will be gone. Everyone knows it, inclusing sad-act stalkers who think that the ancient history of what happened with long-gone previous managers bears even a vaguely relevant precidence.
  18. I despair at the hand-wringing and lack of ambition that blights this club sometimes.
  19. Come on the Norff London Yobbos. Particularly Bale and Crouch.
  20. Worth quoting, with the appropriate part highlighted.
  21. Oh dear. The wishy-washy indecisiveness starts already - before this season is finished, let alone next season started. Thankfully, I am 100% certain NC will be more decisive.
  22. Absolutely.
  23. What, from the the premise that anyone who disagrees with the opening comments is somehow mentally deranged, ignorant or malicious ? No thanks.
  24. Any value in your thread is undermined by the arrogance of the abuse handed out at the end of it.
